Check-Ins

There are signs posted stating this parking lot is private parking and will be towed but there are several vehicles parked here and Goodwill doesn't open until 10am so I'll head out way before then. It's Monday night at 11p and I'm hearing some activity in the parking lot...conversation and vehicles. Wifi is good here. I feel comfortable staying for one night.
Update: I left at 7am and saw employees milling about outside Goodwill. I slept soundly.
Bardos Coffee house is an 8 min walk/2 min drive (lots of parking in front)...they have the best Coffee and breakfast burritos with a vegan option!

i would not recommend anyone camp here. it's a water access point for lical peoples' livestock and immediately ob the doorstep of a private lodge abd campsite. you're literally on the doorstep of a room with a pool. It would be in very bad taste to camp here, in our opinion. besides, it was full of litter. We stopped to check it out as a lunch picnic place but even that felt invasive.

small rest stop (literally) right off the highway. overlooking the lake. pit toilets available. several picnic tables. nice large grassy area. 2 bars with telus.

less than ideal for camping, quite a bit of highway noise and no privacy, but will do the trick for a night. definitely seems like it would be a good spot for lunch.

big enough for several big rigs, but again no privacy. could tent in the grass but the highway would probably keep you up all night.

great little spot. nobody bothered us. washrooms and laundry are closed but the water and power is still turned on at the camp sites (as of Sept 27). and the sanidump is opened too.

Quiet roads in new housing development. Plenty of options. Best entrance is from road exactly opposite bus station.
Map marker is at small park that has tin roofed palapas, barbecue places with built in grids, trees and lawn. Nicely manicured.

Campground with very nice view of the Sawtooth mountain range & walking distance to the lake & a lodge. The host is very friendly. It cost me $22 a night-I decided to stay three. Very clean area, clean restrooms- no showers. There are water spickets between every 2 campsite. This is the first Campground that I’ve been to that has a fire pit & a bbq grill.

Could not find the sani dump! There was a section of the parking with « closed » sign, a piece of plywood on the pavement and a dry toilet. May be it replaces…

Busy area, both for sunset and for stargazing. Had 3 bars LTE T-Mobile. One police officer drove by around sunset. Most beautiful view.

Super clean and tidy mechanic what's pretty unusual for Peru. Harry is an awesome mechanic with a lot of knowledge. He fixed your fuel pressure problem and checked the car for other issues. He has a scanner what is awesome for new cars with a lot electronic stuff. He also let us use his shower. Buenassssooo!

perfect spot. we stayed here for one night with aur rv 25feet. lots of space, perfect sunset. noone bothered us and we were totally alone. we made our way up to the rv to watch the stars

5 campsites all above the creek. Campsites down below can’t be reached due to bridge down.
1 campsite 30 yards off Kolob Terrace Rd. Perfect if you have a trailer. Other 4 sites down below is 2wd doable but don’t recommend long trailers/large RVs.
Sprint- spotty but has LTE 1 bar and loads youtube.
Verizon- NA

Nice campground. Can reserve in advance for a cheaper price, but not necessary. Might want to reserve if you have an RV or trailer. We came on a Monday night and got a tent site for $35, no reservation. There's a dropbox for cash/card payment after office hours. On gravel and sand. Restrooms are newly renovated; nice and clean.

Coming from Senanga you can follow the sandy track only to that point. A flood has destroyed completely the way. No vehicules can pass that point southward anymore (locals push their bicycles only).

Amazing view on the city. The road is a little dirty but ok if slow with a campervan. There is a fire ring. We were alone. Very quiet. I highly recommend

Unless you’re going to/from Canada, then this is not a spot you should stop at. Sure, there’s a nice view, but your rig is in a gravel lot that generally has no shade. No thanks. There are so many better places to camp in Montana.

Ferrellgas, pull up to the small building in back, next to the white metal box with the black hoses.

Arrived here around 7pm and was so excited - really perfect spot right on the river - however we didn’t stay long, on the opposite side of the river is an oil refinery burning all night. If you’re down for a gas induced head ache, bright flames, and awful smells, this is the spot! We didn’t stay long, shout out to big oil for spoiling what would have been an incredible spot

Free Rv Dump and potable water behind the maverick station. Water IS potable; I went in and asked the man at the counter.

Beautiful location right on the river. Showers are not good.
Got a site right on the water and can hardly hear the road.
Main reason for staying hear is I heard there are “hot” showers but I would say lukewarm at best (no temp control) and with the cold rainy weather the bathrooms are like refrigerators....
needless to say I kinda regret trying to take a shower and freezing.
Otherwise this place is beautiful and satisfactory in most ways.

Nice pull off for 1 rig only. Semi blocked off from the road by bushes. No cell signal att or t mobile. T mobile had 1 bar w our signal booster. Stayed one night in our truck camper

Lots of trees - tons of sites. In hey I’m running late be there in September was nice - had a lot of space to self without feeling totally isolated as other campers within sight. Nice for a newbie campervan-er. Couldn’t tell freeway from wind rustling through the trees. Pictures shown are very accurate.

Stay one night. Turn a around with the car was not so nice, but we have quiet night with some fishermen in the morning.

Pretty quiet for tents and a lot of space. Paid 40 CHF for two people and a motorbike. Quite costly but very clean and beautiful!

very friendly German owners. Clean sandy Campsite, clean abolutions, Braai Station. Shower with donkey. You may buy firewood.
Campsite is close to the river, where we still found water end of September. Lots of birds and frogs.

we arrived very late in the ferry to Chaiten. It was a good, easy to find, spot. very quite and near to the road 7. In the morning we had a beautiful view to the river.
It seems to be the entrance to a private farm, but we camp just beside the road and had no problems.
