Alli's check-in notes are spot on.

This place is a beautiful oasis in the middle of a corn & soybean desert.

It's still only $8/night and perfect for a last-minute stay.

I stayed at Pine Camp. Right now I'm the only one here.

LTE with AT&T is in-and-out at site B9. But usable.

The keeper that checked me in, Mike, will talk your ear off if you let him. I did, because he's funny, friendly & generous. He genuinely loves this place.

Has a very Pacific-Northwest-y feel with all the non-native pine trees

If you need to authorise the health certificate from a veterenarian it is done at the Ministerio de Salud (health ministry)

You can follow step by step from photo.
Bring 10 usd (not 20😂)

REMEMBER: Long shirt and long pants

(for example we needed to authourise the vet certificate from Andys Pets - otherwise it would not be allowed for traveling to Chile)

About 20 mins from the Rec Site. Quite spectacular.
Go to the road from the Rec Site, turn left toward the bridge, the trail will be on the right side before the bridge.

Stayed here one night. Went in, had a couple drinks, great beer (I loved the Velvet Glow). When we asked if we could stay they were very friendly and happy to have us stay in the parking lot for the night. He mentioned that he found out their location was listed on this app and thought it was cool. PLEASE ALWAYS ASK BEFORE YOU STAY HERE. AND SUPPORT THEIR BUSINESS by buying at least a drink. We don’t want to give van-lifers a bad rep so we tried not to overstay our welcome. Didn’t dump trash in their bins, left early in the am. Great place to stay. Kinda noisy at night from traffic but felt very safe.

Sooooo peaceful and beautiful. Views of big wide open vista. Trails. Nicely organized camping, easy to pull into. Each has a fire pit and covered bench. Clean pit toilets. Water sources. There were only a few RVs there. Many people come to fish. Loved it there.

This place is approx 12 km west of Kalabo. From their there are still many settlements. Here now is only bush around. The place is on an old track which leads parallel to the main gravel road. Almost not to be seen by the passing (very few!) traffic. Very quiet.

A wonderful place to shower after boon-docking for 6 nights. A non-electric tent site runs you $18 a night; $26 for hook-up. At the time of this post there are AMPLE places to snag a site, but of course there is after Labor Day. We don’t know if there is a black water dump as of yet this eve but we will find out tomorrow morning. But what there IS, is a shower with unlimited hot water supply.

The camp host and ranger both stay here and at the ready to keep things clean and safe. The showers are located between the men’s and women’s bathrooms and have private access after paying said ranger/park-host upon entry. Beach access is easy to find. Good people all around and no generators.

Head north to Port Orford after your stay for everything you need including propane and a snickers if that’s your calling. Sleep well here...

The cheapest propane fill around here.
We have a build in propane tank and they can fill them here.
Guy also say they can do oil change on motorhomes.

This is one of my favorite iOverlander spots! It is the most gorgeous landscape and has full Verizon service. Behind the boulders there isn't a whisper of road noise. it is easy to get to and has a hard packed, relatively level ground. no problem for our 21 ft RV. great place for us and our dog to hike. fire ring. and best of all, free!

Nice place with 4 apartments and space for 3-4 rigs and plenty of animals around for entertainment..
We camped for 2usd/p/n.
Francisco also does tours, and offers very affordable breakfast, lunch and dinner. The very friendly family showed us around on their property, we milked a cow in the morning and bought honey from the son who's keeping bees.
