tiki.koskovich | There are two individual sites on the water that are a bit private with some trees blocking you off from everything. The north site can fit an RV, as there is an approx. 40ft one here now. The second site fit three vans, all 20-25ft in length. There is also a large lot that could fit up to 30 vans (really packed in). It has two fire pits where it seems people circle around, and some flat ground for tents as well. Cool little trails are sprinkled around the whole area. Great paddling on the water, mirrored water, fire ring, picnic table, two pit toilets, great ATT service (spotty Verizon), shade and sun, my bus got parked before my friends and I was under more of the tree canopy so my solar wasn't great. But closer to the water would get some great solar. Not much nearby, so stock up and stay for the full 14 day limit. In 38 states with my bus, this is one of my top five spots. Truly beautiful NOTE: iPhone/apple directions got me close but stopped me further down the main road. Definitely make sure you are actually going to the coordinates provided, not just where the maps think it is. |

zespey1123 | Nice campground spots are fairly Big for your standard campground right on the lake. You do have to pay to get in the park even with a campsite reserved. Flys were pretty bad. We stayed during the week and was very quiet. |

Froila | We spent one night. We did ask for permission and were given the OK. Several other campers in the lot. Not noisy until the morning when an 18-wheeler decided to park literally beside us and have their heater on. But the risk you take when sleeping at Walmart. |

schuckfam | This is a remote hilltop BLM road, Number 5 Ditch Road, requiring 4x4 high clearance. Road is narrow and prone to dead falls, which were freshly cleared. We got some new pin striping. Area has pine, Manzanita, and oaks. Quiet and one flattish area for our two tents. Sitting at 2700+ feet just above the Mokelumne River, the weather is a temperate 70 degrees in late Sept 2021, with lows expected to be low 50s. The road continues steeply downhill from here, but no other areas as flat. Brilliant skies and a soft breeze. Verizon has 2-3 bars LTE. Saw only one successful hunter who bagged a deer. He said there are also foxes, squirrels and black bears here. |

carriedeau | About a dozen or so established disbursed campsites for tent camping and parking along S. Meadows Rd. The road is hard-packed gravel/sand with some potholes and washed out areas. I was able to make it through with my campervan, no problem, and saw a Toyota Yaris made it through also. For the most part, the potholes can be avoided. There is a pit toilet at the entrance from the road. |
