Several places to park beside the road at Mababe Depression. There is a big permanent Waterhole also in dry season with many Hippos and lots of Elefants in the evening. Nice place but not good for the night any more. It seems to be the main road now passing by this location and also the 2 spots further south because of a big waterhole on the main road. 5 Cars passed by after sunset and they wanted us to pay 300 BWP p.P. for parking here. We left at 8 pm and went 5 km further on a side track in the bush. But this also was only an emergency spot.

Really nice area by a river and it’s free. Can’t beat that.

Nice little pullout area on Last Dollar road before the road gets tougher. We really enjoyed the view of the valley -- the snowcapped peaks look great in the morning light.

Well camouflaged urban camping. Park on 5th St where it meets the back parking lot of the Garibaldi House Inn. It appears as though you could be overflow from the inn.

I stayed one night no problems. Quiet street since it’s a ways off Hwy 101.

Cell reception is decent. The pics are a rainy morning taken from inside the van.

Nice spot right by the water. Otherf campers and vans were here as well. Quiet at night.

As the others have said, very quiet night, and a nice spot for a walk the next morning.

Great spot, clean pit toilets, a few covered picnic tables. Place is marked for OHV.

A nice parking lot beside the Canadian Monument from the II World War.
Only for small vehicles. Campers, vans and other car not taller than 2,1 meters. There is a hight limitation in the parking entrance. If your vehicle is higher than this, go ahead and you can park on the street also for free.
Keep the place clean.

We spend 2 nights here, we feel safe and is was calm during the night.

I do not know the price of the rooms but I came here to ask for a shower. 15BB per person with the towels provided as well as shampoo and soap, the woman of the very nice welcome. Hot water. The showers at the train station no longer exists because the station is closed.

Je ne connais pas le prix des chambres mais je suis venu ici pour demander pour une douche. 15bb par personne avec les serviettes fournies ainsi que le shampoing et le savon, la femme de l'accueil très gentille. Eau chaude. Les douches a la station de train n'existe plus car la station est fermé.

I don't know if it's very reassuring but the women are always so rude .. they only make pizzas and cafes for the moment, I don't know if it's because of the covid but we wanted to eat something different .. too bad because the comment about the burger made us want a lot!

the woman was super nice and there are a lot of different things to eat her pleasurable! all kinds of Italian pasta with tomato, bolognese and roquefort sauces, even lasagna and vegetarian pasta. The pizzas on our neighbors' tables also look very good! cocktail, natural juice, beer, and fruit smoothie 😍 with very affordable prices! (40bb lasagna, 35bb mozzarella filled ravioli with cream sauce, 10bb fruit smoothie, 8bb natural juice per glass) I recommend!

la femme était super sympa et il y a beaucoup de chose différentes a manger sa fais plaisir! toute sortes de pâtes italiennes avec sauces tomates, bolognaise, roquefort, même des lasagnes ainsi que des pâtes végétarienne. Les pizza sur la table de nos voisins avez l'air aussi très bonnes! cocktail, jus naturel, bière, et frappé au fruit 😍 avec des prix très abordable ! (lasagne 40bb, raviolis fourré mozzarella 35bb avec sauce à la crème, frappé au fruit 10bb, jus naturel 8bb le verre) je recommande !

A small city park with picnic tables and a pond, in a quiet residential community. The park itself is open from 7am to 7pm, but the grassy parking area does not prohibit overnight parking. Most nights there are a half dozen cars or more parked. I've overnighted here a dozen times without any difficulties. Most overnighters are gone by 7:30 am. Note: Parking spaces are not large enough for trailers or big rigs.

beautiful campsite run by the NP. was charged a total of $100 for our first night that we booked in advance (including park fees, camping spot, etc.), but that reduced to $70 for our second night when we decided to stay another night so would recommend not booking if possible. Quite pricey for us but definitely worth it given the setting.
all other camp availability seems to be done out of the reception here.

DO NOT DRIVE DOWN THE HIKING SPOTS. You will get stuck. Tread carefully with low clearance 2wd vehicles. Otherwise dope apots and awesome people around to help you out if you get stuck like I did. My bad!

Nice quiet place to stop overnight. Good cell service too.

$2 wash and $2 dry located towards the back of the property. There is a Laundromat sign on top of the door. 5-6 machines each. 2 dryers were broken. Vending machine was broken.

Nice cabins when you don’t want to set up snd get a fresh shower. Has fridge,bedding,2 grills, back deck has great view

Nice dispersed campground in the San Juan NF. Bath house was clean and 2 bars with Verizon.
Highly recommend if you can get here before it fills as it only has about 12 spaces. We got the second to the last even this late in the season.

It’s a parking lot next to wetlands. You can launch kayaks from here and tour the wetlands. Lots of seabirds. Gorgeous sunrise. Highway was audible but not intolerable. One other car stayed the night, and I think 1 car pulled in for a short while in the middle of the night. Nobody showed up in the morning until well after 7am. There was some litter in the plants around the lot. Please pack out your trash.

Can’t buy a pass for showers but can but a pass for the pool for $3 which includes showers

Just a large gravel lot pull off, tons of room. Right off the road so there is some noise but it was very minimal. No one bothered us. there is a state park right down the road with bathrooms and a dump station. No signs.

State park with day parking with nice free warm private room showers. Super clean and very warm showers. nice bathrooms too. hiking areas as well.

awesome lake that gets drained out by lava tubes each summer Free camping. toilets. We had no problem fitting in our 40ft Skoolie.
