Absolutely perfect spot, plenty of space to spread out, beautiful beach with gorgeous sunsets. No cell reception. If you're going to make a fire, please stick to the same fire pits everyone else have been using to limit damage. :)

Quiet spot for the night. Only 2 vans in the lot. Didn’t call or ask.

There are six parking spaces with 110v outlets.

The spaces are marked for EV charging, but almost no EV drivers use 110v, so if you have a 110v input for your vehicle, you can stop here and charge your batteries.

Located in a shopping center with grocery store, restaurants, department stores, and a Planet Fitness gym with showers if you have a membership there.

no entry to the north west, CT11 area leased to Jack's camp. But one understands it is possible to self drive around the pans on the east of the North-South main road.

We stayed 2 nights, not much to do but to stay at the one perennial waterhole and wait for the show (lions, elefants, zebra, etc.). The 40km of badly corrugated and deep sandy tracks make it not worth it for 1 night only. No shade on site 10, the most secluded though.

...where the savanna ends and the immensity of the pan starts. We stayed 20 meters before, on the little hill, to get view on both.

Giant Bass Pro Pyramid. Slept here 2 nights. Plenty of other Vans and RV. 24 hour security drives around all night. Great spot to rest!

this is a large area, but the roads end has ruts a foot deep. You have to ride up on the middle part and the side of the road to get in there without dragging. I left as there was rain coming and I would not trust that road to get out of there. Great biking trails for dirt bikes, with markers so you don't get lost. There were ATVs and motorcycles as well. I'm not sure how they got them in, but there were a lot of huge fifth wheels. It was just too many people for me.

Good find. One motor home there when we pulled in. Some bugs but overall a good night - very pretty location.

It is a very wooded and beautiful place with a large green lagoon. The entrance is 6 thousand colones per person per night. Includes camping site and park entrance with trails. There are toilets, showers, a sink for washing dishes and clothes. There is a large ranch with tables that is the common area. From the entrance to the ranches it is 1km away, we managed to go up to the end with a 25-passenger high-roof van. There is no electricity or wifi in the ranches, only at the reception.

Es un lugar muy boscoso y lindo con una gran laguna verde. La entrada vale 6mil colones por persona por noche. Incluye el lugar para acampar y la entrada al parque con senderos. Hay servicios sanitarios, duchas, pila para lavar trastos y ropa. Hay un rancho grande con mesas que es el área común. Desde la entrada hasta los ranchos es un 1km de distancia, nosotros logramos subir hasta el final con una buseta de 25 pasajeros de techo alto. No hay electricidad ni wifi en los ranchos, solo en la recepción.

Still a very beautiful spot to camp and even spend the day.

More equipped for visitors than we had expected, but that has it's upsides too.
There is a well maintained and clean flush toilet, a sink with running potable water and soap, lots of covered tables, lights (both solar and conventionally powered), 110 V sockets (would need extension cable to plug in your board net) and of course the pretty waterfall complete with rope swing ;)

Jenny, Michael and their family live a few meters up the road and welcomed us when we drove past the house.
They are very friendly and helpful and charged us 2500 colones per person for the first night. After deciding to stay another night we asked if there was a discount and Michael offered us 1500 colones per person.

We arrived here on a Wednesday and there was some kind of family reunion going on. But it was not noisy, there was enough space for everyone and all guests despite us left at 4 pm.
From Wednesday evening to Friday morning we were completely alone.
Still, I imagine it easily gets crowded here on weekends.

We drove by on Oct 6 2021 and the hostel was closed. A note on the door said it will reopen on Oct 18th. We instead went to Tamarindo Backpackers hostel nearby, they wouldn’t let us camp as their parking is shared with neighbors but they allowed us to stay in their lovely hostel for $10 Per person (same as camping) they were really welcoming and friendly.

The dirt lot treated us well. I couldn’t hear I-80 and had the lot to ourselves. Not at all sketchy.

Once you hit the main parking for the Pond just keep following the dirt road that runs parallel with the creek. Plenty of spots with rock fire rings. This is my second time staying here, and both times I thoroughly enjoyed the peace. No amenities, be self sufficient! BLM land.

If you are lucky, poor electricity and slow Wifi (18-20 & 7-8), still Q50/p/n. Cash only. Small car park on grass, only.

East off dirt road .75 miles, 2 bar’s Verizon, fire ring, gorgeous sunrise & sunset.
A must for van-lifers or travelers alike! No 4 wd or high clearance needed. Road has a few dips but manageable. Enjoy and safe travels friends!!

Super-quiet at night with plenty of room for mid-sized rigs. It is a busy trailhead but no one bothered me. Great spot!

Indeed, quite a few picnic areas. Easy to find because of all the picnic tables to be seen. We ended up at 36.2799589,30.3936406. Quite large. Water, toilets, beach shower, shade, beach. Only 2.1 km west from a A101 supermarket.

These coordinates are wrong. The propane is across the street at Performance Fitness.

Un bel endroit sans réseau, j'étais seule, très tranquille. Entouré de nature. C'est un détour de la ville, qui vaut la peine pour être intime.

This is an empty parking lot for a former Target store. The building is still there but is vacant.

Spoke with someone saying they were the new owner and this place is closed and they will post no trespassing signs soon and call the police.

Beautiful , fall colors in October. A lot of sites on the lake. All lake sites were taken on a Wednesday but I am sure it fills up on weekends. About 34 sites, $18 a night, $9 with a pass. Shady, large sites.

Very nice and quiet. access to toilet and bbq area with table but nothing else. don't miss the short hike to the viewpoint El Altar

The boat ramp parking lot was not level enough for our rig, so we headed down the “dead end” curve off to the left and had a wonderful overnight stay just outside the gated area. We were right above the river, and enjoyed a beautiful sunset and a quiet evening. Idaho’s flies, however, are abundant and very persistent! Note: this area will only work for a camper-van, auto, or truck camper...no space for a trailer or a fifth-wheel.

Few rough spots to camp. It’s really nice. Springs were crowded with locals, all super friendly, but this is the type of place that gets shut down if it’s not respected. Enjoy, leave it better than you found it.

A better access route is at Milepost 22 on Hwy 31, turn NE on FS 3125 to FS 017 (which is under a power line). Powerline section was new gravel Oct 2021 to a bit short of the campsite but good dirt on to camp.
