nrcantwell | Popular elephant seal overlook/viewing area. Adults are around from mid-December to late March, and the adolescents will hang around a bit longer after that. Not worth going out of the way for, but an easy and neat lil stop off the highway. |

Isabel Myles | This camp spot is amazing! I am here for a night. It has an amazing set of trails attached to it and they lead to very pretty streams and a gorgeous beach! It’s tucked away enough from traffic that you don’t feel like you’re next to a busy highway. There is 3 strong bars of Verizon from this spot too! |

k.cmotivation | RV park . $20 to dry camp on the beach. No amenities. There’s a cold shower that you need to hold your hand down on it and there’s no shower curtains . Most expensive RV park I stayed at for almost nothing in return besides to park on the beach . Go sleep at the free places in San Felipe . Don’t waste your money here ! |

pibock | As almost all the spots we checked in this town, this place seems close, it was a big mount of gravel in front of the gate. And nobody answered at the bell. |

ObB | This spot has a short steep and rocky approach, so I went a little way down the road to a spot that is easily accessible for medium size RV or trailer, and a couple more spots with great views further down a narrow bumpy track good for vans or truck campers.

thedragonwagon.me | As usual, Texas outdid themselves with a beautiful rest stop. Clean, well lit, picnic tables, boardwalks, nature education plaques, grills, clean bathrooms. there is a semi area and a car area. we chose the car area and were a little too long at 24 ft (with our generator shelf on back). good Verizon signal but the highway noise was LOUD. I didn't sleep well near the exit. maybe look for a spot in the middle so the trees can block some sound. there are a couple of stray cats there and we saw an armadillo and raccoon. |

maildofakturispamu | This is a nice wild camping spot by the river, close to the bridge. Traffic on this road is very low, especially at night. Rocky road that leads to it diverges from the main road just after the bridge (assuming you are going east). Only for 4x4, normal cars and big rigs won't make it. Dedicated rather for cyclists. Photo attached, place seen from the bridge. |
