Still here, same price. Need $1 bills to exchange for shower tokens in a machine in the laundry room. Used the first shower from the laundry room, got hot quick, water pressure was average. pretty and cheap, would recommend

This will be our second night.
Waited out a storm after sequoia np at the library down the street. Nice little park and small river walk.
Woke up went to Yosemite. Came back here.
No problems. No traffic on the road but there is a main road with minimal traffic till 10ish.
No signs indicating parking restrictions.

Great spot. Not too big, but I could fit my pickup and a 12’ trailer with plenty of room for others. Right on the edge of the water. Great views of sunset and sunrise. Some people on and out during the night, also there’s a busy-ish road nearby so some noise but not too bad

Good spot for a night. Horse train carts are dangerous, wouldn't go again.

Very large car park and free to stay. The cenotes are very awesome and amazing to swim in. Still 600pesos for a horse cart, you can bring your dog on the cart, but dogs can't go down to the cenotes.

We took the first cart at 8:45AM and had all three cenotes to ourselves. Unfortunately on the way back the driver was going too fast and at a slight corner the cart derailed and flipped over. We (a couple) the driver and our dog got ejected onto the tracks and the cart landed on me pinning me down. We got away with some pretty bad bruises and scrapes from landing on the tracks, but were luckily we didn't get seriously injured.

Go at your own risk! Or at least ask the guy to go slow. The train track is super janky and these carts can derail very easily, usually not a problem at lower speed, but when the horse is galloping and you could derail and flip.

Company refunded us our money and was very apologetic, sounds like it happens more than they make out.

Came here because the road to Bridal Veil Falls Campsite was very muddy and slippery so we hiked from here to the falls (+-4.5km one way.) Lovely place where you camp by a cottage but no mountain views. Very clean facilities, hot shower, great internet signal with Econet. 10 USD ppn. Their chalet looked very cozy too if you have the budget for 40 USD ppn.

Beautiful spot with a great sunset. Totally quiet at night, only one car past the main road after 6pm. Grassy at this time of the year. Make sure you park on one of the few gravel spots, because of the fragile ecosystem. You’re visible from the road.

We went to today from Turkey to Georgia with our van. Mostly trucks crossing the border, but you can pass them once you'll come closer to the gate. Turkish side was a bit chaotic, since they we still not so used to people arriving with their own vehicle (border was only open for trucks for a long time). But Georgian Side was super easy, we could stay in the van. Documents were checked (good to have international driver's license) and custom checked briefly all drawers, cabinets, fridge in the van. All good and were quickly in Georgia.

We were here for some nights. It's a nice green place close to the beach. At the beach there is a little restaurant were are toilets and you can also take a shower.

At the beach swimming isn't allowed because there is no life guard. But people still swim and surf in huge waves.

At the meadow there are some boys playing soccer in the evening. And some people come for driving lessons with there children ... but besides that you are alone.

The parking lot was full with local people living in their cars and some internationals. It’s right next to a road, noisy and everything quite dirty but it does the job for a night. Next to the parking lot is a small outdoor gym and a small drinking water fountain. A few hundred meters to the beach.

Google maps kept giving me alternate directions to this spot, and we were still 15-20 miles from it when we stopped in the middle of the wind farm. It was already dark and the road was too wash boarded for my rig. Not a single car passed us that night and it was a gorgeous morning scene. Very windy, as you’d expect, so we bumped it on down the road to the community center to the west to make breakfast.

Quiet and easy access to the beach. There are homes on this road but it’s pretty isolated away. Saw a sleeping bag in the bushes across the street but no one in it. All in all, it’s a beautiful view and a convenient spot to sleep before making your way up the coast!

We drove from Palenque to San Cristobal today. Checked in with GN and policia estatal in Palenque who told us route is now open and safe. GN told us to only drive during day.

We left Palenque at 11am and got to San Cristobal at about 530pm. The drive was beautiful but not my favorite. About 40km outside Palenque we encountered 4 ropes with people demanding we buy their dried plaintains or pay them a 50p toll. We politely declined to pay or buy and instead gave the kids at the rope a few stickers. After about 2 minutes of holding our ground, they relented and dropped the ropes.

A bit closer to Ososingo there was a bunch of construction with up to 20m delays.

From Ososingo to Guadelupe there are at least 200 topes. It's the worst tope section of road I've driven. There are some parts of the road where there is a poorly engineered and rough tope ever 50m. Its extremely annoying.

However besides the agressive vendors with the ropes near Palenque, we had no issues with safety, corruption, or locals demanding tolls.

This road is passable again. Just check with the local cops and other travelers before you go.

Beautiful swimming hole with amazingly clear water— bring your snorkel to really appreciate the geology of the cenote!

We paid 200p total for 2 people camping in a van with access the cenote both days (usually 30p/person for entry). The parking lot is nothing special (no view), but it’s flat & secure— the family closes the gate around 6pm & no one can enter, so you have the spot entirely to yourself! Definitely recommend.

Followed signs from the road labeled 'ancient tomb'. The tomb is kinda cool and also there's a tucked away section hidden from both the path and the road that was good for a night of tent camping. Best for access by foot or bicycle.

Follow signs for ancient tomb. Looking at the tomb from the path, nice spot is just on the right.

No water but there was a public fountain in Sofiko, nearby.

Nice quiet spot on the bay. We were able to make it down in a 2WD 21ft Promaster van but anything wider or longer might have a challenge getting down the narrow gravel section that takes you from the road, down a slight hill to the level area at the bottom by the bridge and water. Definitely room to turn around down there, a few people came and went in the evening but most seemed friendly and just wanted to watch the sunset or hangout for a few minutes and then left. Minimal road noise. No visible garbage when we stayed so hopefully people continue to respect the area so locals don’t put up a no parking sign. Love it or loose it!

Access is through dense shrubs, is narrow and requires some ground clearance. We cut away some branches to widen the path. Not for regular camper vans and not for medium or big rigs.

Price change since 15 March 2022 now it's 100 lp per person for the entry and 200 lp for camping (not sure if its for vehicule of per person), they give you the ticket for the next day. We were first in the parkeo and they told us to change and enter near the restaurant. It was semana santa so there was lots of people but even if it was really nice. You can enjoy the water which is so cool during this hot time . Really a nice place if you want to relax. We talked with some employees and they told us that the bar was open which was really cool too. Really peaceful night and no mosquitoes.

Free campsites first come first serve in a beautiful spot on the New River. Part of New River Gorge National Park. Very active rail line across the River with several long trains coming through overnight. Walk-in sites are in sight of vehicle and not far to walk. Hammocks trees available. Pit toilets. Weeknights in April the walk-in sites weren’t full. We had the spot all to ourselves on Wednesday night. 2 other groups were there on Tuesday night.

Quiet parking near walking trail and Buckley AF base. Cars and trucks parked one one side of road. Restaurant and a family dollar down the street. Good spot for a night or two. Residents near and traffic, but noise dies down after dark.

Stayed two nights here and loved it! Very quite once you go further in, there was a bit of "traffic" from others camping and heading off to the lake. Lots of pull offs with fire rings, please sure to use already existing ones.
1-2 Verizon bars.
Road in was washboard, but was just doable in a 170 RWD Sprinter.

Thanks for the park. 🙏🏻✌🏼
