Very nice and calm place, hidden by the main road. We've been standing a bit more close to the road before and immediately a car from the "ministry of environment" sent us way, because it's a "country controlled" area.

At this place here, we were invisible and stood there for 2 days.
Unfortunately there's lots of trash in the KSA, here the same.

To get here, you'll need to cross a riverbed, which was dry, when we came. No 4x4 necessary, but definitely a good ground clearance.

When driving in direction of Mbala there is a short and steep path going down on the left side of the road. You arrive in a first quarry wich is a little bit dirty, if you hold your left you should be able to find a track wich is half grown over by the grass. Follow it for less than 100 meters and you will arrive in a second quarry wich is well hidden from the road by a little hill. We had a very quite night there.

Nice shady campsite just west of Quaking Aspen Spring. Looks out across a big meadow. Spring is fenced off. Lots of good camping uphill to the east as well.

Large lot. Quiet at night. Portable toilet, picnic table, gazebo, well maintained trail. Several other cars parked overnight, likely for the rail trail. Appalachian Pinnacle trail head to pulpit rock only 8 minutes away which was our morning destination.

Great little spot to stay the night. Parked away from the entrance as to not be too noticeable, but nobody bothered me. Quiet and safe!

Easy drive here in our 2wd 1995 camper van. They had a road that went across the river no 4x4 needed. There’s some big rocks/gravel at the entrance but we didn’t have a problem. Lots of spots on the way to this location. We stayed one night and no one else stayed at this spot even on Memorial Day weekend. Lots of ATVs and dirt bikes but they didn’t bother us. Ok AT&T and T-Mobile signal (1 bar LTE). The cliff is gorgeous and there’s a trail to walk down to the water.

Stayed here in our sprinter van w/ 2 children in tow. We parked on Parrott Ave, street parking next to parking lot + pond (which is very dried up and has a small odor- nothing too crazy). Walking path and playground nearby. Slept great all night, birds chirping and church bell rang at 4am. Just passing through but next time we will explore downtown more. Safe and easy.

Little pullout off road between two lakes. Wonderful place to sit on the rocks and watch the gills and the highway. Could walk to the gas station if needed. Very flat and open

I'm offering parking near our house and business. There is an outdoor tap to fill water and an outlet to charge batteries if needed but not to run an air-conditioner. We may also let you use a shower and the washer and dryer if you are out on extended travels.

Our place is open for nomads, travelers, van lifers, and anyone with a permanent address but we are unable to host homeless people living out of a sedan.

We prefer non smokers but everyone has vices. Please no leaving cigarette butts nor dog poop on the property. Also, please no drugs.

I haven't listed the exact coordinates. Please call, text, Signal, WhatsApp 858-412-0776 and I'll give you the address. We are near Rockwood Park.

It was very crowded but it was also a national holiday weekend. We had some snow in the morning. Can be very nice during the week in the summer though.

Really cool place to stay. The road is indeed possible with a 4x2. You can visit this place without a guide if you don't go in the cave. We were here to watch the rare Pfrimer's parakeet. If you have a binoculars with you you can see them around. Keep also an eye out for the Acrobatic Cavy balancing high at the rocky slope of the cave. Really cool to see :) In the late afternoon and early morning you can see the Red-and-green Macaws flying out of the cave.

Enjoy!

Great working farm campsite, Alys and Anthony run the site.
It was started by Alys's father huge amount of camping space, hot showers, coin operated clothes washing facilities, there is a caravan that can be rented but check ahead of arriving. Perfect for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast line.
Great for motorcycle camping and Campervans and tents.
