This is a small dirt parking area on the lake. We stayed one night with no problem. Verizon signal was good. A bit of road noise, but no problems sleeping.

After looking quite a while we’ve found this quiet parking near Tivoli strand and the city of Horten. In the weekends some local kids can come here to party but how were you at your twenties Bro-to use their language. They were a little intoxicated but silenced their music and left after 10 minutes. We are visiting their city so we should respect them. Close to Horten-Moss ferry.

Small and basic and off the beaten path. But it's a nice camping spot bc it's very quiet and tons of hiking/biking paths. You can get bundles of wood, dump your trash, and they have a vault toilet. I heard there was also water available but I never found it. It is there, though. Google will not take you the right direction so you need to follow the small blue signs for Forestville Trail Head which will lead to the campground. It's best to get a spot online but there is a mailbox on the entrance sign with registration cards and a way to leave payment. The one thing that would make this place 100% better is if they find a way to keep the big flood light on the barn off at night. It would be nice to take advantage of the dark sky opportunity! Dog friendly!

Lots of room to park and have privacy. There was another car that was there overnight but there was quite a distance between us. Another car showed up early morning but I was never bothered and never actually saw anyone else. No no-camping or private property signs

I grew up in a mosquitos city but this is even worse 😅. hundreds cover you in a second.

Really beautiful lake with lot's of room, Bin and firepits but soooo many flys and other insects forced me to leave. Had hundreds of them in the van it was just disgusting and I couldn't enjoy it there. without the insects would be really great

I’ve stayed at this spot for one night several times whenever I pass through. It used to be a decent pull off. Yes the locals really do honk at all the vans/rvs/campers and I don’t know why. But I’ve started noticing that this place is going downhill fast. So much garbage everywhere now, and my friend even found human sh*t on the ground not even hidden. Like seriously, someone just popped a squat here and went. Who does that? Leave no trace, people!

I suppose the view is pretty.

Great spot, very quiet. The short track to this old quarry is fairly narrow but opens up into a large area. We stayed 2 nights and despite torrential rain and large puddles on the way in and in the parking area as it was gravel there was no worries about getting stuck in mud.

stayed here with my 35" 5wheeler. There is still many places to park here over night.
No signs saying there's no parking. very easy access. There's even pit toilets near this enormous parking.
