The Chilean Embassy in Ushuaia today confirmed that the border crossing is closed since the covid pandemic. No news of it opening again. So disappointing as I will now have to cycle up the dusty main highway to San Sebastián rather than explore the roads over the border toward Yendegaia and the Kurukinka national park 😢

Still roadworks further south in direction of Jardin. We drove on a Saturday and had no issues as there was no active construction but it could be different on weekdays.

Cute family who own a little artisanal distillery de mescal with a restaurant. Nice spot with nice price. 500 ml of mescal añejo cost us 200 pesos.

Water free with fuel purchase. Gas and air and bathrooms too. Attendants very nice!

Still a place to dump but NO fresh water...

Dump is at the end of the station, but water spigot just before the building. unfortunately water was shut off, maybe because of the cold? dump available.

A little tight, watch the bushes, some will scratch your paint! Very peaceful and quiet. Owner does have dogs, but easy to coordinate dogs being out if you have a pet. No power, water or sewer, but views are excellent. Showers and bathrooms on-site, very clean.

Great Coffee win of the best robusta coffee style in Ecuador. They also sell ice cream, and some local products, very friendly staff.

New fence and gate and sign that says "Recinto Privado, Entrada Prohibido"

Not a camproung. We saw a van but nobody around. The gate was locked and the bridge to cross the gate clearly to narrow for our RV class C 24.

Closed since Aug 2022 for unknown duration. Access road to lake is closed from the main road

as the campground in la Poma was not very nice we wenn in snd stopped in this valley

3.11/g for RV propane tank. Go check inside at the register. they will keep a ID or Credit Card and will give it back to you when you go back inside to pay.

a freaky place with very nice owners and family. But after only 1 night we left again because an extremely aggressive shepherd dog bit me. This one is usually leashed, which is probably the reason for the aggression. Ahead on the beach on the right lives a family that owns this dog. Unfortunately, the showers are only 10 meters away from this house. I know dogs very well, but this one is a weapon and it bit my thigh. the wound is 2 cm long and 1 cm deep. the local doctor cost me 90 USD.

good spacious campsite with wind protection and see view. warm douches, clean but very old and bad managed. wifi at the reception.

Wanted 75Q pppn, was to expensive for a parking lot for us, so we left.

still a good area for camping, i cycled a further on that small road and found a nice place between young trees

Very chill spot maybe 5 people in the whole campground.

free and good warm showers, this place is very calm and safety

Good location for overnight parking, even in winter park is cleared from snow and accessible by any vehicle.

What an amazing park! It is stunning to see so many penguins sitting on their eggs and we already saw some mothers protecting their new born babys. Definitly worth the visit. Bring some time and be respectfull to the great nature and animals. And it's free - unbelievable.

Great car wash. They do thorough cleaning of exterior and interior. Around 300 pesos for (small) RV. They worked more than an hour with two people on our camper and made everything shine!

Every guy who misses swiss choclate - go there!!! Phenomenal handmade chocolate with creative aroma-combinations. Want to be in choclates-heaven? That's the place to be!
Truffles, choclate bars, drinking choclate... delicious!! Some vegan choices, too.
