no airplanes in the night. till around 22 it was very loud.

location by the lake, very very quiet during the week. Probably very noisy on weekends.
there is a small swimming pool. it is also possible to swim in the lake.
there is a very funny "belly and slide".
there is a large room to take shelter.
be careful on bikes, access can be long (height to get out).

Definitely one of the better rest stops for overnight as there is a large auxiliary parking/ picnic area behind the main parking area. Wooded separation from main area so hardly any road noise and hardly any vehicles passing through. Facilities are acceptable but nothing fancy. Convenient quiet place to rest if passing through. Full ATT service.

Tis a beautiful spot. We drove our full size truck and slide in camper. it was challenging! you need to push wires up to get in to the driveway in front of the rooms. We drove in from San Antonio not Xilitla.
we rented room number 2 to have a shower and toilet. Slept in our camper. It's way cold and rainy in November. the rooms are cold with no heater. 500 MX/ night for a room.

Whatever this place is, it’s not a formal campground. It’s an artificial boat basin not cared for by anyone and as such it’s a brilliant wild camp on the Biloxi waterfront. I mind my own business even when walking my dog here which makes this an unbelievable free spot to spend the night among the lovers, sunset watchers, homeless, car dwellers and even one evening an undertaker in his hearse walking his dog. No facilities but in the night traffic on the highway evaporates and you can sleep as well here as in a forest. Or you can worry about what other people are doing. Your choice. I love it.

Passamos a noite no posto e foi tranquilo. Tomamos banho quente a 50 pesos por pessoa, muito bom. os banheiros são bem limpos. Tem uma loja de conveniências boa, sem muitas opções. O atendimento dos funcionários é excelente e o rapaz da loja é muito simpático. O sinal de wi-fi é bom. Bom lugar pra passar a noite.

Great camp ground. The best camping set up we have seen in Central America. Big (tall and wide) rear entrance for large rigs to enter the camping area (if your a standard size vehicle you can just drive in the front entrance and they will show you through to the campground). Ronnie owns and runs the place - super nice American man. He has done a really nice job building this area out for overlanders.
Nicely landscaped. Full concrete vehicle pads with water, power (for light charging), BBQ grill, concrete table and benches, light switch for individual overhead light all at each site. The restaurant/bar is super clean and neat with good typical Nicaraguan food. Given access to a clean bathroom with shower. $15 US a night. Two block up from the ferry terminal.

Bad experience as Paraguayan customs intended a shakedown, citing "regulations" about cash import. Asked for a "Multa" of 200 USD. I got out of it by insisting to see the law or regulations they pretended to quote. They offered to "reduce" the fine to 100USD, and finally let me go as an act of "kindness and leniency", as their whole argument had broken down.
Received a tourist entry for two weeks only.

this park is now full of human feces thanks to everyone coming here. I've seen people coming out of camping vans going into the woods with toilet paper and bathing in the extremely polluted river. disgusting. there are coffee shops down the street but you choose to poo in a public park. shame on you!!

Good place, in front of the beach. Two showers and access to the beach. No facilities.

311 will be putting a sign up that no overnight parking is allowed very soon. people are not respectful and leaving human feces everywhere. shame on you!!

The price increased to 200 kwacha pppn. The shower they offered was run down and there was no hot water. The staff offered us to boil water for us. Way to expensive for what you get.

Dirt road near logging. There’s a small space you can pull off to the side of the road. Can fit 5 vehicles, no larger than an extended van. A walking trail goes right through it but is okay for a night or two.

Paved and pretty leveled parking lot. Very quiet at night. Lot of trains during the night but not so bad. Very good signal for AT&T.

Large public space in front of Salina de Cochabamba. It's a big flat field with a few cows grazing, lots of birds. The neighbor is a very kind gentleman. At this time of year the lagoon is completely dry, but even if there was water, it is salty, so there are no fish to catch. There is a 3G signal from Entel, even if it is bad. 10 minutes away is the village of Vacas, where the internet works better, there are markets and a tap to get water. Very safe.

Grande espaço público em frente à Salina de Cochabamba. É um grande campo plano com algumas vacas pastando, muitos pássaros. O vizinho é um senhor muito gentil. Nessa época do ano a lagoa está completamente seca, porém mesmo que tivesse água, ela é salgada, então não há peixes para pescar. Há sinal 3G da Entel, mesmo que ruim. 10 minutos para trás fica o povoado de Vacas, onde a internet funciona melhor, há mercados e torneira para pegar água. Seguro.

Very clean and very tasty food, camped at the backside with our truck 2.35wide and 7 meters long (a bit tiny road but doable) can also fill up water from a tap.
Very friendly staff but also very expensive... 20$ppn! but brakfast is included.
Rapid Covid test station next door 5$pp(You need Rapid test to enter the National Parks, valid 72hours)

it is 10000 x night.and is not Manuel ,which probably just saw the opportunity n scraped a 'contribution' off the OP guy .there was at least other 2 tht showed up as 'caretakers'

180 pppn.. chalet is open as no camping facility so could use toilet/shower and kitchen.. it was cold windy summer night so was very welcoming.. kitchen has cooking facilities including microwave kettle etc, bench fridge so handy place.. shower clean and hot water. Good for a quick stop over.

Very nice and quiet spot for the night. This might even be a public parking lot, because all the tour buses, taxis and even a police car parked here during the afternoon. The restaurant seems to be only open from 12:30 to 15:30 and there is not much going on on the parking lot after 16:00. We walked to the Salinas de Maras from here and there wasn't anyone at the gate around 15:30 either (but open). Some 4G reception, too (Claro).

Delicious agroecological beer from the area. Great place to have a beer and take home a souvenir. Many beers to taste.



Large flat parking areas beside and behind building. Clean. Restrooms open 24 hours. Trash cans and aluminum can bin. Water spigot locked.

Great open lot just west of St George! Several other boondockers were there when we arrived around 10pm last night. Stayed 1 night. Easy access. Large gravel lot. Not the most level but some spots are decent. Not far off the main highway but far enough to peace and quiet. Nice starry sky. Surrounded by hills and mountains all around. Plenty of room for many including larger rigs. Great cell service!

I was staying here for one night before cycling on to Swakopmund through the Namib.
My advice for cyclists:
If you are coming from Solitaire, enjoy the last opportunity of water and a shower before 190km of nothing.
The reception is roughly 8km sandy road away from the camp (you have to cycle it twice). But if you arrive before 2:30 pm at the lodge‘s reception you can get a nice lunch and a cold drink for an ok price. Coming from Solitaire, cycling the extra 16km for the lunch is in my opinion worth it.
If you are coming from Swakopmund and just want a shower and water, I’d recommend instead calling the reception (00264 64 69 4000). They might be willing to make arrangements to spare you the extra km.

At the shared kitchen on the mountain is 3G (MTC) if you step on the balustrade and hold up your phone. Alternatively, if you want to download or upload, you can place your phone on the beams of the roofage in front of the shared kitchen.

Few cars throughout the night but little foot traffic. I felt safe with blacked out windows. Great LTE coverage
