Nice big open space and definitely a party spot. Big groups camping, SO MANY ATVs. Not the spot if you’re looking for peace and quiet. But probs fun if you’re ready to party.

Free toilet of the Comuna Palena. When looking at the small wooden houses of the mercado municipal it is the last cabin on the left. There is no sign that says bano. Bring your own toilet paper ;)

Price for a room without anything else (no breakfast etc.) is now 1500. We didn’t even have a look at it.

kisosk right next to the main road, has wide variety of things: drinks, fish, noodles, pastas, sweets etc. (and even more or less fresh pastry!). friendly owner who seems to be used to smelly cyclists showing up for water, drinks and sweets 😅

Filled up direct in our tank for lokal price. The guy told us the maximum amout is 120 l Gasoline. Very friendly.

Brilliant Toyota Garage. They did an oil change and basic service for us at short notice at a reasonable price, plus diagnosed a problem with the bearings and helped us book an appointment at another garage on route to get the work done. Excellent customer service and went out of their way to be helpful to us.

Only tap we could find was 50m away and definitely not potable water.

It’s a minimarket and ‘comida rapida’. Serves sandwiches, but only in the afternoon, But you can buy cheese, Bread, salami etc. If you ask, you can sit inside to eat the Bread you Just bought

If you want tyres changed or tyres repaired or punctures repaired come here.
He knows how to change tyres and tubes on big adventure bikes.

He speaks perfect English and is very good at his job.

He is located next to all the motorcycle shops so you can buy your tyres from there and get him to fit them.

A small beach, we didn't set up our tent, just slept on the sand :) Nice view of Florianópolis and a little shower next to small house.

Slept here one night with no incident. There was a security guard scanning the parking lot up until close at 11:00. No one bothered me, and there were other campers/no 'no overnight' signs. The neighborhood is fine.

It's a nice place. Like described no shade and used by locals. But they are all super friendly and fine with tourists staying there. Nice if you need a place near Dubreka or close to Conakry.

Very unfriendly staff and boss. They did not want to repair our tire. They said that they dont have the tools for a F350 camper. Not recommendable!!!

When we parked here some cops arrived within a couple of minutes asking if we came to camp. We said yes and they mentioned it’s allowed with our rooftop tent but not with tents on the ground. Also no fires allowed, after a couple of minutes they left.

The spot is nice below the trees and in between the fast flowing river and the road (very quiet)

Free WiFi here. Garden is open 7 days a week, 10a to 5p. Lots of grassy areas and benches to sit.

This is a build residential area, only 3 houses and lots of grasy space. You can park wherever you want. Super quiet at night. Every kind of car possible.

Nous sommes allé jusqu'au bout à 2 véhicules, il n'avait pas plus récemment mais le sol était gorgé d'eau et le niveau d'eau très haut, le camping car s'est enlisé, heureusement nous avons pu le tirer avec le pick up. Il n'y avait pas beaucoup de place en bas pour stationner même si il n'y avait pas eu de boue. Nous avons du faire demi tour et trouver un autre spot.

We went to the end of 2 vehicles, it had no more recently but the ground was waterlogged and the water level very high, the motorhome got bogged down, fortunately we were able to pull it with the pick up. There was not much space downstairs to park even if there had been no mud. We had to turn around and find another spot.

Nice clean rest area 1.5 hours away from San Diego going west. clean restrooms, smaller parking lot, free RV dump station.

There's a push-button jug filling space, but also a threaded connection with a turn handle.
The giant sink outdoor is definitely a find also; I did some dishes and quick laundry with zero hassle.

Be aware that lots of local houseless folks use this spot to get water and bathe. Clean up after yourself and stay aware of your surroundings.

Yes, this is another beautiful spot at the Government Wash. But also here a lot of trash clearly dumped by camping people, we cleaned the area around us and collected 2 big bags of human trash. You have 3 types of people using this area:
1. People dumping their garbage and don’t give a shit
2. People complaining about about this, but do nothing
3. People cleaning the area around them and enjoy these beautiful spots

If we have more category 3 people, these wonderful places will stay open for camping. Otherwise authorities will close the area for overnight camping.
The choice is ours !!

We spent a couple of nights in this place in front of a very clean beach and a beautiful sea, the owner Roberto is very friendly and receives travelers of all kinds, he charges us $10 per night, he has a restaurant during the day with good food and good price, the place is very safe, it has clean showers and toilets, electricity and lighting at night. ... on weekends clients arrive but during the week we had the place to ourselves...The gate closes at 7 pm. You must arrive before this time.
