Large number of crammed in places. Thankfully not that busy but if it is you’ll be very enclosed.

Our pitch was dictated to us, attempts to subvert this were spotted and declined.

No toilet paper or soap in the bathrooms

No Wi-Fi!! They have plenty just not for campers

€3100 per person!!!

If you enjoy being treated as a useful lubricant for the gears of capitalism this place is for you!

Damn I wish we’d arranged something else before we arrived knackered.

Truly a beautiful spot nested in beautiful mountain scenery. Big juniper trees. No verizon service and there was a winter storm coming. With the wind starting and no way to get accurate weather info, I choked but otherwise I could've seen myself staying there for a few days. BLM land and there is a sign telling you how to be respectful when camping there so definitely a legit camping spot!

Fantastic spot and really nice beach. We have a 4x4 so we were able to park away from the parking lot and near one of the secluded palapas (with outlet and outdoor shower). Super chill. 250 pesos/night with power.
WiFi didn’t appear to be working

Quait place, near village in the mount. Not so windy, not noisy in night time. Maroc Telecom working properly.

Quiet night with some highway noise, multiple trailer spots in the back. Only one other small RV was there.

Standard Cracker Barrel camp experience. Next to a highway with some traffic noise at night. But as always, free and no one bothered us.

Good size lot. Several other overnighters. A bit noisier than some CBs due to the highway having an overpass directly across from the parking lot which amplifies traffic noise.

Spigot, free water, you need a 25 feet hose, it's located on you left when you enter the parking near the big fish with all the plastic bottles.
Downside, there's very little pressure and you'll need to be patient it'll taje up to an hour to fill up your rig

Great campground with clean pit toilets, grills and covered areas! Only spent the night during a winter storm but it was easy to get to and convenient.

small pullout platform on the side of the road. Not the best of your trip, but the ground is level, and firm (rare enough in the last kms!). in plain view, but nobody uses the road from 6pm to 9am. the view is nice, if nothing compared to stunning glaciar views before. direct access to river but I would not try to drink it without a lifestraw or similar. we have a small camper (see pics) but I guess anything small enough to go through the last bridge can fit here. convenient if you have a tour on the next day, or wait for good weather to head back to Rio Puerto tranquilo.

note: the tourboat crew told us it is also OK to stay at the parking at the end of the road, but it is definitely less sexy than here. weak movistar on the parking though

Great Campground. 25 a night (7.99 registration fee), multiple toilets and showers. They sell wood on the property. 711 is up the road a half mile for any convenience store needs. You can walk to the beach from the campground or enjoy the Monarch Grove. Decently spaced campsites. I have stayed here multiple times and it's my favorite in the area. Pismo Preserve isn't too far of a drive either if you are looking for hiking/biking trails.

15,000 per night (in 1 month increase of 5000f cfa) not very frequentable, it looks more like a brothel than a camp, no wifi, for showers only pool shower available, wooded park, but for campers the places are in full sun, categorical refusal to take water (for 15,000 we were refused 10l of water)
Only the character is nice

Amazing lemon meringue pie !! Don't hesitate to stop here and try it. And the cosy terrace has a beautiful view to the Rio Baker. We paid 5'800$CL for two nice slides, including 10% tips.

1 March 2023: Argentina to Chile

Arrived at the Argentinian border post at about 13:20. Exiting Argentina took not even five minutes.

Arrived at the Chilean border post at about 13:35. Including the inspection we were there for around half an hour, mostly waiting in the queue as we were behind a passenger bus. We declared our vegetables, but they didn’t take them. Not sure if coming from Tierra del Fuego as opposed to mainland Argentina makes a difference here.

Perfect spot practically on the beach if you have 4x4 and can enter the sandy part. If not, you have to stay on the street, but you'll be just I front of the beach anyway. The beach is super long and wide, and we loved the town of Lo De Marcos. Full of cool little spots and happy gringos. There's a good surfing for the beginners on the left further point of the beach, you can rent a board for 300 pesos a day. We stayed here for 3 days and nobody has anything against it, everybody was super friendly. You can find a free bathroom on the main plaza provided by one of the expats living here. He also told us he has free showers if we need it. What's more, there is a free WIFI with a good signal on this square, it's called LDMpublic (the password is the same as the name).

Overall super cool experience!

Camping as margens do Rio Uruguay.
