The camping area is a beautiful grassy tree filled location and the beach is gorgeous very quiet

Came there at 4 pm told me to come back at 9 in the morning. Withdrawal of 180 000 Ars max/ day/ person. Come with Id AND copy of it that they are going to keep (from what i understood). But western union rate is indeed better (1/392 today) instead of 1/365 in town)

Definitely a gem but with some quirks. Full hook ups are $20 a night, but there are signs around about no alcohol, not sure if that applies to the campground but we kept it out of sight. Tried the mineral water, very metallic, maybe from the pump or just the taste of it. Manager is a good guy, he has this job and another county job so he isn’t around much. Payment is on the honor basis, at least this time, must pay by cheque or money oder and into a drop box. Currently in site 9, after we got set up I found the water spigot is adventurous, when moving from full off to full on it squirts out the side. Shopping tomorrow so might change sites, we are the only ones here.

Nice café with homemade cakes. They also sell other artesan products. You can only sit outside (but under the roof). WiFi works well.

Basic supermarket, same as the others in town. Limited selection, quite pricey. Some fresh fruit and vegetables - quality depends on the day of the week (fresh delivery Thursday!).

Free rv dump, confirmed with public works employee that the water is potable. Also when I was there the water pump closest to the building was not working, but the middle one worked great and filled up 25 gal tank in no time.

On our way to Medellin we were stopped by the blockades before Caucasia and had to turn back late afternoon. We found this hotel as a second choice. Paid 140,000(way more than we usually do) but it was getting late. Nice hotel with pool , restaurant and bar. Nice clean room. AC. Good Wifi. Includes breakfast. Large parking space on the side. Far from street but not gated.

Not a bad city hostel option. Call ahead and check if there is space, I would guess only space for 1 van, maybe 2 squished if they move the scaffolding. Not the quietest place as you’re in the courtyard of a hostel/apartment building and right beside the staff room. Plenty of washrooms, big/hot showers, rooftop with a great view, wifi worked well, sink for washing up. $7pp.

Perfect place if you want to do the boat ride! Clean an save! We pay 10 Rs per night and 10 Rs per day, super cheap! You can leave your rod here wend you are on the boat. It is a withe metal door with a gas station ( Petrobras ) inside

Local gratuito amplo e bem iluminado próprio para motorhome, bem tranquilo, a poucos passos do mar, quase um pé na areia, banheiro químico próximo, muito recomendado

Don’t know how much longer they’ll allow campers. This was our third time here and each visit gets harder. This time they wanted 120 Soles to camp. When we told them we paid 40 the last time, they went down to 40. Then they didn’t want use to use any wifi, bathrooms or even hose shower. We told them we were leaving, then they said ok to showers and bathroom, but no wifi. We had good cell with Claro so we stayed. The last visits we were treated OK. This visit they were sort of hostile. Kind of strange since the hotel parking lot was empty anyways..

Nice place but not all sites accessible with big rig due to trees with low branches (at least at the far end, coming from Cruz del Eje).
Additionally a lot of rocks lying around that might require high clearance to access some sites. We didn’t see electricity hookups, but we didn’t search for them either.
I would rather categorise this as an informal campsite, but can’t change this (iOverlander closes when trying to save changes).

6680 pesos for nearly 15kg, 24+ hours service, cold wash only, did not want to do a 40° wash already sorted - not very friendly

We were stopped by the police and he said to us he would suspend the drivers license because we didn't have the lights on during the day. Turns out he asked for a bribe to let us pass, and my boyfriend had to give him 1000 pesos.

Great quiet place by the lake close to the town. Stayed here 3 nights

Really nice café, we only passed it when we just came from El Arbelito and regretted that we didn't see it first. They seem to have real machine coffee, homemade cakes, WiFi and you can sit inside and outside.

Still free, when we visited the bank was shut but the ATM was still available.

Filled up empty propane tank ($15), dump and water ($10), and vacuumed all mats from the trailer ($1)... vacuum stayed in for a good 5 minutes.

Excellent service. Fast and friendly. Checked fluids for transmission, gearbox and differentials, gave recommendations whether to just top or or replace. All fluids used are according to manual.

Great pizza and bread, try 4 cheese, all with sourdough

Now 12k pp. It's fine, and you will see a larger concentration of the bird then in the wild, but we did see them out and about on hikes also. There is a little cafe too if you want a drink and just hang out, very peaceful place, but fairly constant stream of visitors.
