Freshly paved, in perfect condition all the way to the top with awesome views all along.
Where I put the marker is where there is a 4km section where they are still finishing building the road so you might have some delays but otherwise it's awesome. (if you're on a bicycle, even if they block the road to work on it you can just pass by)

Senior/Access Pass. Cash or check. Great night’s sleep in wooded setting. Woken up around 8:15 am Saturday morning by volunteers ready to do work around the campground. New posted rules about folks without horses waiting until 6 pm to take a site, leave by 10 am, and stay only 1 night. We arrived at 8:45 pm Friday night and there were sites available but maybe that was luck early in the season? Posting a pic of the sign so you can see.

Georgia > Russia. Horrible experience. Out of Georgia cost us just 10 minutes. Passport check into Russia took about 30 minutes. Importing the car took 7,5 hours, god knows why. Still prized ourselfs lucky though, there was an Austrian couple that was there for 48 hours already (because they had a motorcycle om board of there camper).

coordinates are close to 2 waterholes just close to the road. We use a track right when you arrive from Kasane) just 100m before this point. there are a waterhole, big tree for shade and you are completely hide from the main road.
Just 3 vehicles between 17p.m and 7a.m, completely quiet just nature, footprint but no animals around.
good option just before cross ghoha gate.

Can fill built-in tanks with LPG adapter. Directly from the truck. Best to be here between 8 & 9 as that is when all the trucks leave for the day.

Stopped here for lunch. Appalled at amount of toilet paper, plastic drink bottles, beer cans etc littering the ground. Come on people clean up after yourselves!

Huge gravelled flat area, next to small lake not far from highway. there are several fire rings and minimal garbage.

Cheap and clean hotel. We paid 750 roubles each for a night. There is also restaurant. Staff is friendly and helpful. Moreover, there is a small shop in the next building selling essential stuff (pasta, water, etc...). parking lot but it's not closed, wifi.

Car parking lot behind the community centre, by the skatepark. Arrived here late afternoon, was a great spot. There are a few benches with a nice space to cook outside. There were 2 others who stayed overnight but the lot is so big we barely noticed them there. In the morning we went for a run along the cycle path which was nice and used the gym and showers in the centre ($7 for a day pass)

One of many places in the area to post up. Cell tower only a couple hundred feet away so cell service was full bars with T-Mobile. Kudos to the previous camper(s) who built this fire pit and chopped wood! Added to the construction of the pit a little bit before we left. Watch out for potholes on the way getting here.

Fantastic site(s) - there are several options within 200m of the gate. The views of Cotopaxi are phenomenal! It was 42F in the morning when we woke up and windy. The weather is in constant flux. We also hiked around the lake in the park and drove up the steep and rough road to the parking area and then hiked the last 350 vertical meters to the Refugio. Park is free. Last entry 3pm

We are sleeping in Woodstock in our van and came here just to shower. The showers were $5 per person plus .50 for 5 minutes, $1 for 10 minutes. Water was hot and pressure was good. Fairly clean- a few spiders joined me in there though. We also filled our water tank here.

We had a bachata party. From the dance school bachata club. And we parked straight in front the door. Wich was super nice actually. We slept good but was loud with cars. Earplugs are a must but we slept quite oke. Everywhere sugurity.

We arranged a one-day tour with Magali, costs 600bs (150bs/pers Park entry fees to add to it) and lasts from 8am to 5pm. Was great, cheaper than options starting from Rurrenabaque and much better for at that time in the morning there are no other boats, groups from Rurre get there later. Being the first ones out there allowed us to see a wide variety of animals before they went into hiding after the uninterrupted boat trafic. She's knowledgeable about the area, chatty and friendly. She has a lodge on the Rio where other agencies have theirs as well and she can organise multi day trips if that's what you're looking for (we were quoted 1900bs for two days for two, including park entrance fees and all meals). Would definitely recommend her if you're in Santa Rosa!

Beautiful view by the river, not too noisy but still a reasonable amount of pedestrian traffic. Make sure to park in the correct spots and not the 2 hour max parking, otherwise it was easy for us to find a spot for our car and trailer

No one answered when we were there. The entrance is not big rig friendly. So we left.

We arrived around 4 p.m. and left around 8:30. We first parked by the playground but moved by the hedge in the evening. Our rig is 30', no issues.

Agree with the comments here, great place to stay. Nobody walked by, awesome views!

The village has 2 or 3 bungalows for visitors and a place on the beach for overlander (not possible to sleep here without paying. The piste arrive in the village which is also the begining of the beach...). They told us we give what we want. Nice place, friendly People.

We really liked this place. After a couple days of driving and wildcamping in Northern Chile we could relax here. We were the only guests on this huge property with beautiful autumn colors. Parked right next to the river and the ground keeper made us a fire after sunset.

Might be wise to whatsapp before you go in the off season. We paid $20.000 which is steep but worth it after a coupe of days camping for free.

water spigot out front by the stairs. Not sure is potable or not

after searching forlong time the otheplaces were blocked and here we found a great place and level to spend a quiet night 🌙 enjoy.

Dump station and potable water located at the exit. Pay $15 at office first. Save receipt as it’s good for 2 dumps/fills. Dumpsters at dump station. If want propane refill, tell them at the office and they’ll come around with golf cart to collect tanks and fill while you dump.

A pull off from Million Dollar Hwy, a parking lot at the Mineral Creek Staging Area. Need to cross a relatively small bridge (over a creek) to the parking lot. Spacious and pretty flat. Still have snow on the ground and around. Weak phone network but Starlink has coverage. Can see animals' feces on the tree sides. Can hear the traffic but it's not a busy road, overall it's a quiet night.
