Merveilleuse place pour camper une nuit. 3 plateformes de bois prêtes pour accueillir des tentes. Avec tables de picnic et emplacement pour feux. Tranquille et que dire de la vue!!

Nice place above town with many overlanders. Big grassy parking in 3 terraces.

Owners Mili and Edgar are nice. Hot showers. Water not potable.

Price 12s per person and also per rig.

The only problem was laundry service - they don't have a dryer so they just hang clothes outside. Weather was so-so but they still said that for sure it's gonna dry until the next day. Well, it didn't, it didn't in next three days. So I really recommend that you use another laundry service down in town, there are really dozens everywhere around.

Quite good, easy to find. If heading north turn right at the fork. You could camp the night here. Very protected from the wind.

I'm an Australian. When I was driving north I noticed a simular rock formation that looks like Uluru in the Northern Territory.

Cool spot - just a big dirt lot. Lots of people in RVs, skoolies, cars, and a few tents. Quiet - we only stayed one day. Gas station right down the road! Good place to stop for one night

We did the 10am "offbeat walk". Great tour, absolutely recommendable. You should be there shortly before, no booking necessary. The tour lasts about 2.5-3 hours.

Terrific flat overnight stop off the highway. Plenty of space even with 3 other parties that showed up later in evening. Respect the land. Pay it forward by packing out more than you pack in!

Not very quiet- trucks arrived to the loading dock at midnight and then again at 5am. Then when the Target employees came in at 6am they were blasting music at the loading docks.

Tried to stay there, got „the knock“ by the police at 11pm. Nice guy, told us sleeping in the parking lot after business hours is not allowed. The 16h stay signs are for the „main streets“ only. He told us to move to one of the streets, we did so.

Beautiful spot with lots of open spaces. Be careful driving in and our as there are several paths to take but some are thick with fine sand/dust that you very easily can get stuck. We disconnected our 4x4 2500 series truck to go into town and almost didn’t make it out after picking a path that was too sandy. Our 32ft Coleman/Dutchman Lantern travel trailer fit in just fine. Our dogs enjoyed the water and we had a nice fire.

I did not have issues with jet noise, maybe it just depends on whether your stay aligns with their schedule?
I camped off the dirt road across from the cave parking. It was very quiet, with some people coming to hike on Sunday. I would return here if in the area. Although DEF NOT if it's raining- the dirt road feels like it would turn to mud in an instant.

Yup, good spot to camp. I spent a quiet and wet night here.
It's not as flat as it looks though, but you can find a spot or two. Unfortunately not inside the rock walls but it's alright.
Barely anyone passes on that road so it's perfectly safe.
If you get caught in bad weather like I did it's great.

Parking along the 13th Ave N along the backside of the fields large fence. Very quiet, very dark. No parking restrictions except for Tuesday 2-8am.
Gas station near by. Only a mile and a half from Fargo downtown. Fargo has lots of restrictions for overnight parking. No amenities, but it’s a great boondocks spot.

We stayed here for 5 nights while we were dealing with contractors on property in San Martin. Juan Carlos, Diego and crew are great. We had dinner several nights and food is great. We had the pizzas, sushi, burgers and salad. I even went for an introductory flight. We will definitely stay here again.

We came here with our car with rooftop tent and asked if we could camp here (since there is not a lot of camping places available around here). We were told that we could stay on the parking lot and price is $5 per person, non negotiable.
We
Honestly the price is ridiculously high for staying at the entrance of a bar/restaurant. Lot of noise in the night from stray dogs and people coming in and out. If you would like to go to the toilet/shower/bar you will need to walk a lot of stairs to get there as well.

Of course we knew what we were getting into when agreeing to this, since staying at a parking lot is never ideal. However I think they could have handled the situation a lot better. I mentioned to them that I thought the price is very high when checking out, but they did not seem to care or want to hear any feedback. Furthermore their exchange rate for paying in kwacha was way off as well (150 kwacha more per dollar than the actual rate).

Have to say the bar/restaurant area is very nice with a good vibe though. Great view of the lake and we had some good pizza on sunday night (after we send them back since they were a bit doughy).

Last but not least I would like to ask management to give the security guards some mosquito repellent. Poor guys sitting outside all night without any repellent. Naturally we gave them some of ours.
