we stayed here for two days, a quiet and peaceful place, in the park of the arts in front there is a bathroom, but it was closed, behind the church there is a swimming pool that you pay 8 thousand Colombians from 9:30 to 17:00.

Ficamos aqui por dois dias, lugar silencioso e tranquilo, no parque das artes em frente tem banheiro, mas estava fechado, atrás da igreja tem uma piscina que você paga 8 mil colombiano de 9:30 as 17h.

Near the highway. Pretty quite though with a real good view of the stars at night. A little dirty though. Probably the locals use it. No connection for me

Quite decent climbing spot with a range of difficulties. Also something for beginners... however the wall is always in the shade, at least in autumn. Therefore it's quite slippy and not so nice to climb on cold days.

Still available now, 2.50$ to start and for 5 minutes, as a woman I put 4$ and had plenty of time to shower freely. Went there around 3:00pm/3:30pm and was nice and clean. There is machine to make change and have quarters. Enjoy!

We could get there mid may without a reservation.
It was not crazy crowded but we for sure were not alone.
The sanitary was clean.
Still 380 pp.
You have to pay crazy prices for the wifi.

Basic but good and clean hotel. Spacious room to store our bikes as well.
Clean bathroom with good shower with good water pressure. I only didn’t notice if there was warm water …… but hey, with these temperatures i was happy with a fresh cold shower.
Good wifi.
There is a restaurant/steakhouse at the same place. They do breakfast as well.
We paid Q250 for a night. 2p

I tried to contact the structure two days before via whatsapp on the number indicated but I never received an answer even if they saw the messages so, having arrived on the spot, I personally went to the hostel. They had one bed available in a small room where there were 3 beds almost touching each other and the price per bed was 10 KWD per night. I then searched on booking and found an entire apartment in the Marina Royal Hotel Suites complete with kitchen with plates and cutlery and microwave and with a large supermarket 100 meters away, in the Marina area, for the cost of 16 KWD with a mobile phone discount. I was alone but if you are two people the cost is the same so I preferred the suite apartment! In my opinion the hostel should lower the price in proportion to what it offers

Stayed here 4 night without issues. It’s a highway pull off that is gravel and big rocks so not fun to drive over but there are a few flat spots. It appears that locals come to drink and do the dirty, since there was lube, condoms and beer bottles in the one bottom corner. None of which we saw or heard because it’s a huge wide open space. No trash cans or bathrooms, so take with you what you brought. People come and go daily since there is 2 nearby hikes from this location. One is to the little waterfall/creek but it was soooo overgrown and our dog got bit by fire ants half way through. It was rough. The other is to a geocache. There is a park about 5 mins away that has gorgeous green grass, trash cans and super clean bathrooms. They even have a gender neutral bathroom by itself that we spongebathed in every day in the sink. It was very nice. There is also a tiny convenience store and burger shack within walking distance of the park but buyer beware, check the dates of all of the stuff, went to stock up a few things and some of the stuff was expired. Small town vibes with high prices and expired dates. This is a beautiful view of the sunset and is a great quiet spot. Please don’t trash it or piss and shit directly where you park. Keep these places available to us!

Pullout off 3 Bars Road, a 20-30min walk from Bartine Hot Springs (in case you can't, or don't want to drive there). Walk east from this spot by the road below the electricity line to reach the hot springs.
Nice little spot just off the road, level and compact gravel. Obviously no traffic at night, amazing starry night, incredible mountain views. Please note that trucks do come through at full speed during the day, so do not park on the road. Also there's an electricity line right at the spot in case this bothers you.
Stable T-Mobile signal. Can get incredibly hot during the day, and incredibly cold at night. Do pick some litter if you spot any :-)

An old campground now abandoned. Stone stairs lead to remnants of an outhouse/pay station? (left) overgrown campsites (right). Fire rings and original tables are usable. Beer bottles and a condom rapper litter the ground. Very windy, visibility low (100M) with clouds passing through the overlook.

Arrived late at night and aside from one or two bumps on the paved road to the top it was super smooth getting to the destination. Signs marked the directions frequently, camping area was gravel and flat. Very comfortable in our skoolie with plenty of room around us. Small Fire pits around the area for multiple sites, had one other camper in the area with us who stayed to themselves. Very quiet area and signage by the trailheads indicate camping is allowed for up to 14 days. pets allowed as well as long as they are quiet and respectful of others as well.

Quiet spot, with not traffic or people passing by as it is a dead end. We stayed one night and we had no problems.

I stayed here for a night and was not bothered. This is listed as a rest stop on Google maps, but it looks like a store might be going in next door, so I'm not sure if it will continue to be available. I stayed here because I didn't like/couldn't locate the other options in town. This is right next to a busy road as well.

our GPS told us to turn on a road that looked quite rough, we continued driving a bit further to a dirt road (a large construction truck is parked there)—take that dirt road, then turn right at the power lines. completely possible with 2WD as long as it’s dry. the hot springs were awesome! the one that is heart shaped is much cleaner than the other. a really fun find in the middle of “nowhere”! the starriest sky we’ve seen in a while, heard some hoofed animals walking at night and coyotes.

Our 3rd visit here as we travel around Africa and still 1 of our favourite campsites. Ruth and the team are just superb and of course the elephants came to visit! We watched them cross the river too! A lovely sunset cruise which I can highly recommend! 12 USD pppn.

we had mixed feelings about this place. the main benefit is that it's a very easy walk to the Centro.

however, it's the most expensive RV park we've been in during 6 months of mexico at 450 pesos a night, and it definitely did not feel nice enough for that. I guess it's the San Miguel premium!

you're essentially parked in a dusty patch of dirt between two tennis courts. the dust gets blown around by the wind, so it's not a nice place to sit by your van. There were also lots of mosquitoes and other biting insects.

there's also some kind of tension between the brothers who own and run the place, so you need to make sure to use the toilet facilities for the RV park and not the tennis court (even though those are closer).

the other people staying there when we were there are lovely, so I would recommend this place if you 1) want that social aspect and 2) need the hookups/facilities. if you're self sufficient in your rig, you could easily just sleep on one of the streets and save the 450 pesos a night

Pleasant spot. Don't be tempted to park on the wasteland/old paper mill behind here. We did and the Police came round and very politely asked us to move to the beginning of the boat ramp car park. Please don't park near the water and obstruct the boat users.
