Very nice hostel. We had a large private room with private bathroom. Great staff. We could store our bicycles inside.

This was the best wild camping experience I've had. Before driving in, however, I parked at the entrance off the interstate ramp and walked in to check out the condition of the road based on other reviewers' comments.

I walked about a mile (then passed the pit toilets) went another quarter mile and determined the entire path to that point was in good enough condition to bring a 2 wheel drive class B campervan in, driving carefully of course.

The spot I found was so lovely and private with a firepit already supplied with wood, I hurried back to get my van lest someone else occupy it first. I need not have worried. Only one other campervan was on the property as far as I could see that night. That class B camper was parked in the parking lot for the trailhead.

I enjoyed a stunning sunset, a beautiful fire and a quiet, starry night. By going beyond the trailhead and making a left at the bend, I was far enough away from the highway to not hear any road noise.

The hike to Badger Springs was delightful. I saw a giant tarantula and some quail along the way. The birdwatching in the morning was sensational. I would have stayed for another day, but regretfully, I had to be in Tempe on Friday.

The pit toilets are well maintained. Other than that. This is a pack in/ pack I out campsite and a beautiful one at that.

Good, safe spot to camp for the night. We parked here overnight before climbing Cotopaxi the next day. Small car park with some lovely dogs from the hotel for company. The restaurant inside the hotel is delicious but on the pricier end. Toilets are great, just inside the entrance of the hotel. The shower is hot! $5 per person and $1 extra for the shower. Lovely hosts.

We made it with a Toyota Landcruiser from Batopilas to Urique. Road condition to above Urique is good. Drive down to the valley to Urique with lots of washouts in the switch backs. No problem for 4WD and High Clearance. Reduction is useful.

Cheapest fuel we found before crossing into LA, definitely worth filling up (we also topped our Jerry can) as prices jumped $1/gal soon after.
lots of overnight cars, bathrooms were clean, bit of noise but not too bad.

Stayed in Kayenta campground. Current fee is now $50/night for all sites.

Very scenic, nice to have access to shore power to recharge house battery. Some sites are closer together, others have more space between. Great views, but that's pretty par for the course around Moab.

Definitely felt a little on the expensive side for what you get (no water, no showers, etc.) but it's a great location with good access to hiking and biking, and the $50 includes the $20/day you would pay just to enter the park, so if you were already planning to come to hike or bike it's really more like $30 to stay.

Eduardo is just incredible!

He helped us to fix a broken alternator of our Fiat Ducato. He went above and beyond to get us out of a really difficult situation.

It was a really very very nice host and we can highly recommend it. We couldn’t not speak Spanish well, but with google translate we were able to communicate very well.
The two of them would be very happy if as many tourists as possible came by with campers or tents.
Thanks for everything.

Top notch authentic Mexican restaurant.
The chile relleno burritos smothered with green chile are out of this world.
Not fancy but worth a try.

Perfect place to camp ! The road to access is a little bit difficult.
We stayed two nights, we were with two others cars. You can hear the sound of the river. You can go by step to the waterfall « Velo de la Novia ». 100% recommanded !
