Went in and asked if overnight parking was allowed and they said it was. 5 Vans/RVs and a 2 trucks spent the night as well. There are no overnight parking signs posted but seemed good enough for one night. Be respectful and low key so this place can stay “under the radar”

Not that noisy for a truck stop, we had a quiet night. Very friendly staff. Great showers, very clean and hot water for 500 pesos. We gassed up here as well, prices were normal. Sweet doggo on the property, give him some treats and some love!

Very nice place with a good view on the mountains. Place is well maintained and bathrooms are of the cleanest we have seen yet in argentina. Friendly host. We paid 6000 pesos for 2 persons with a campervan.

I decided to drive down the left fork here and it was fine for my Mazda CX7 with no 4*4, but in the rainy season I wouldn't have been able to pass.
The road is in very bad shape, but slowly it can be done. you definitely need 4*4 for the part after the payment cabin, 50 Cordobas per person

Typical rest stop. Loud highway traffic if that bothers you. But good for a night!

Nice enough place as others have said. Clean room, good AC, secure parking for motorcycles, restaurant OK food at reasonable prices. Basic breakfast included in the room price. Walking distance to town.

The only signs were for 2 hour limits during the day. Seems like a busy road but it was actually quite quiet overnight. Lots of other vehicles. WaWa across the street (no bathrooms), and at least some buildings on the campus were open (we went to check out some architecture). There's a bike lane running between the road and parking spaces, so there's a little extra space. Very good Verizon signal.

Lots of spots on the first mile of FR 9246R. Suitable for any rig. Entry requires opening a cattle gate that is held closed by a loop of wire. Road noise is audible from these spots.

No one asked for money when I was there. It is free.

Road is ok in 2wd, some clearance still recommended.

We loved the place. So peace and quiet with lots of birds flying around getting their fish. Water is clear and not that cold.
Can get pretty windy since the area is really open.

We might come back on our way back to the US !

Wanted to update thet it is still possible to camp here. We drove down and turned left and there is a nice packed sand area for 2 motos/tents and a VWT3. We also took a dip but beware with currents and quick sand. Local said it is safe. Few cars/motos drive the bridge during the day.

Place ok, paid 800 no breakfast. Clean. Parking is good, closed gate at night. To me its a 500 pesos room max but it's in Tulum after all.

There are two spots both looked great! We stayed at the spot closer to the coordinates but there was one way earlier that seemed good too! Close to highway so not super out of the way but no noise or lights to bother us. Both spots had fire rings!

Bit of a run down dump of a hotel, but the only one here. Negotiated from 70 to 65 per person for a room with shared bathroom. Sheets clean, but room and bathrooms dirty. No running water. No shower. No power socket in room. Very cold in rooms.

Non-guests pay 5Bs for the toilet which is outrageously expensive considering there’s no running water or toilet paper.

One of the nicest Bolivian hotel experiences we’ve had as cyclists. Both people working there were so friendly, gave us huge meal portions, and kept giving us loads of leftover tour group food on our day off. 50Bs per person for the shared cyclist room. Slow 3G Entel connection.

Cyclists don’t rely on these shops for resupply. 4 of the 5 were closed when we were there (3 of them permanently) and the other one only had crazy expensive cookies/crackers. No pasta, no ramen noodles. Take more food than you think you’ll need.

Large rest area near the beautiful laguna with many stone walls high enough to hide a tent behind. Not completely hidden from the road, but we didn’t see any vehicles in the evening

Spend all day here. 750 on weekdays, 850 on weekends and holidays.

This place is incredible. Several pools for bathing, both inside and outside, sauna, and four hot stone rooms.

The relaxation spaces have couches, massage, manga, computers, work spaces, and wifi throughout. The restaurant sells okay food for cheap.

Another update. I ended up waiting from 3pm til 530 in the afternoon for the road to open back up. Think the original note on times still stands.

Google map directions are screwy, don't follow them through town, just turn left at the sign right before the curve to the town square. Two adults, no hookups, $250 pesos.
