We only passed for the day hike (and stayed in west winds) but it looked awesome with the central house, also have electricity inside and wood burning heating. Would recommend it more than west winds, also looked less crowded and more protected.

Great overnight spot. Recommended. Calm, little noise from the road, campfire possible. We cleaned a bag of trash up. As nice as the tent-camper-hack to use adult diapers to pee in your tent might be, please do not leave them on site.

Really beautiful cabañas and view. A bit expansive, we paid 70000p for 2 people. A room with a big comfy bed, small kitchen with only small oven, toaster, fridge and sink (no stove) and bathroom. We wanted to use the jacuzzi but we're told it should be booked at least a day in advance.

Bought a few things at Sinsa and asked the security guards if I could fill up my truck camper. They said no problem that it was for customers but I'm sure they will let you use it anyways.

You can stay 3 days and 2 nights here but before registration at visitor center 6km outside national park. Register open 9 to 17h. Free. Clean bathroom. Wind protection by wood shelter only for tent. Campers have to park in front of building. Beach is very near. Very quiet park. You can see puma here! Didn’t see them but they are many like 30 into NP.

The road is now open. The first 8km are paved accessible by any kind of cars. After that it is a gravel road, until the first carpark at 4600m small rig should be able to access. To access to the refuge at 4800m 4wd is required.

About the road: the first 8km are paved and accessible by any kind of cars. After that it is a gravel road, until the first carpark at 4600m small rig should be able to access (there are just 2 turns that go up dry). To access to the refuge at 4800m 4wd is required. On the WE we saw 4WD going around. On the paved road we saw a condor and 2 deers.
To camp at the refuge you have to get a permit 48h before to come.
The hike from the refuge to the glacier is WONDERFUL! One of our best hike of our trip! The landscapes are SO beautiful! I really recommend it. It is possible to go until 5000m if we walk around 50m on the glacier (not really risky).

Small campground on the river surrounded by palm trees. Super sweet spot. There are 2 men running it. One is elderly. They are both very nice. The facility is somewhat primitive but clean. We felt very comfortable and safe. We will defiantly return.

Huge recommendation for this place!
For riders by riders, the place was spot less clean, a sheared kitchen, shared bathroom, secured parking and Rodolfo was a great host (who is also motorcycle rider) was always checking if everything is ok and if anyone need anything.. Gave a lot of tips about what there is to do around / in the city.

Payed 15,000 per night for a bed in a dorm room (up to 4-5 people in a dorm) for Ushauia it was a great price everywhere else was way more expensive.
There are also private rooms.

Place as described. Did hear road noise until midnight but ear plugs work great.

Toads croaking at night were cool.

Stayed one night for 10$. Wanted to stay a second night, but needed electricity for that. The discussion about that got a bit weird.

For a Laptop it‘s no fee on top. For plugging in the camper it‘s 10$ on top! We explained, we just would have a fridge inside- no aircondition or something like that. They said ok only the fridge 5$ on top.
When we asked (very friendly of course) for only 6h charging our battery camper for maybe 2$, they got very unfriendly and wanted 10$ again (no 5$ anymore).

So we left (and a friend of us as well…)… not because of the money… it was just to much negative energy there then for us.

Sad, because the beach is really nice! And our first impression actually was good and friendly here.

In our opinion: Better stay at the wild spot with beach view and ask the restaurant (very nice people!) for using the toilets if you are in need.

Called for permission, no problem, told to park where we'd like. No RV/Bus spots. It was quiet enough overnight.

This is a pretty nice campsite just as a pull off from the road that brings you in. Heard a few OHVs in the mid/late afternoon, but it has been quiet and no one around since. Right next to a trailhead for a portion of the Ouachita Trail and there is a picnic table right near the trail also.

Buen lugar, para un par de tiendas, en nuestro caso pasamos una noche, y no hubo problema algun coche que pasaba pero nadie nos molestó.

Very good place, so beautiful and quiet, in the whole night we only have a couple of cars that come but we could camp without issues with a camp

This place is open.

I wouldn't trust the road in with only 2WD in any kind of weather, it's a bit rutted & rocky after you make the turn towards the creek.

There are about 3 beautiful drive-in spots, some pull outs, and a couple of walk-in spots with fire rings.

Super clean too, let's help keep it that way! :)

On my way to El Cocuy, it is mostly a dirt road but with no difficulties (at least at this time of year). The views are amazing, highly recommend.

Arrived there a little bit late, they are closed until 10 march 2024. They allowed me to sleep in front of the gate. Very quiet and peaceful night. They checked on me in the morning to make sure everything was ok. Very sweet.

Awesome spot! Lots of people fishing, live music at the fish shack, clean bathrooms and garbage. I practiced what I preach and left our spot cleaner than I found it. Oddly you can’t hear the traffic above you, only an occasional train going through town.

The staff was friendly and at least one of the two people at the desk spoke English. The room was extremely clean. There is off-street parking. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The pool area is the highlight of the place. We were only there for one night and we didn't have a chance to swim, but I would have loved to lounge around the pool as it really was like an Oasis in the desert. It was a very beautiful pool area. The bed was a little on the firm side, but that is a personal preference. If I was ever in this town again, I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.

Amazingly large parking lot with lots of fun things to check out at the movie theatre, arcade and car museum if you are so inclined. They even have bowling lanes inside the big mall complex here. A surprisingly quiet night sleep for how close it is to everything.
