Great place to camp. The parking spot would be good for a van too.

Ficamos 3 noites aleatorias aqui. É um lugar especial. Muito, muito TOP, imperdível. O ceu é incrível, a lua única as estrelas brilhantes, o silencio absoluto. Voltando a SP de Atacama não fico em outro lugar. SHOW

Beach and river -36.07859, -72.79711

Like it's said before, this place is a paradise !

it's a wonderful piece of land in the nature, but with all the commodities to enjoy the stay, kitchen, hamac, clean bathroom with clean water, wifi, etc...
And Javi is a wonderful host is living his beautiful life there, he invited me for a tour in boat into his "garden", the river just aside as a guest in this nature with his family

This is definitely the place where to go and go back at few hours from the capital city

Highly recommended

The bathrooms are the nicest I have ever seen in a park. Beautiful park. Water filling station to refill your water bottles.

Plenty of room in May. Very kind owner, Sra Yolanda. She recognized me from my visit in October, and made sure I knew where the amenities are located. Nice central sitting area. Good water pressure in showers. Easy walk to beach- Malecon, plenty of nearby restaurants. Friendly and easy going people in town. WiFi is intermittently boggy, but not a serious problem for me. I’ll return.

Rivera del Mar RV Park and Camping 26.01738, -111.34562

Very nice people. The camping park is ridiculous. No wifi. Electricity so poor I unplugged it for the night because the circuit was tripping off every 10 minutes. 350 for a van. Poor value. Restaurant convenient but food so-so. I tried to go to Malarrimo, but a huge school rally of kids with cars caused the entrance to be blocked and I couldn’t get through, even with the kids trying to help. By the looks of it, malarrimo would have been a better choice

Arrived around 7p. Grabbed some fishing essentials and got confirmation that we were allowed to overnight here. It was confirmed by one of the workers. Normal highway noise.

Crossed the border from Russia to Kazakhstan.
The Russian side was very fast and good.
The officers were polite as well.

However, the Kazakh side was quite bad.
They were very impolite(all of them addressed me as ‘ты’ despite we haven’t met any other time).
And they literally require you to bring out everything from the car and scan some of them through x-ray scanner(at least not all of them).
They even asked me to give them my car scanner as a gift.
In total, it took more than 3hrs to cross the border and most of the time, obviously, at the Kazakh side.
I would never cross the border through this one.
Hope the other ones would be fine.

*As of today, the Kazakh border does not give you and papers. All the documents are in their system which is more convenient for overlanders.

Camp on the beach with tent, but park on the street with van, no privacy but not many options in freetown

Pleasant grassy area by the river. The track is right next door and there is a bit of traffic during the day. There is a place to make a fire and you can find wood in the surrounding area. Negative point the place is surrounded by mountains and there is no sun in the evening and in the morning. No Claro signal.

Great spot overlooking the water. Next to Main Street with lots of businesses food, drinks, coffee, art. There are several "24 hr parking only" spot right near the public restrooms. I stayed one night with my dog. Had no issues. We woke up to the ferry at 5:30 but didn't hear it after. It's beautiful and a ideal place to car camp considering how overly priced everything in this area is

Filled my b-class permanent propane tank for $4.25 per gallon. Competent service. There is also a welding supply just down the road that also fills propane apparently.

70 reales pp, Best hour to visit: 12:40pm -2:40pm thats when the sun hits the cave. Be careful with Google Maps of you are coming from mucuge, there are two routes and one of them is in horrible condiciona, so you better ask.

still active. the new white VW Polo with the KJG782EC. possibly also a white pick up with the license plate FSX817EC followed us through the entire city. even after trying to lose them, they caught up with us 10 minutes outside the city and overtook us. 2 people with safety vests then tried to get us to stop, we didn't stop. On the second attempt 20 min later, three people with safety vests were standing on the road, we had to pull over to the left first and then start again.

North of Torreón Rd just off Piedra Lumber Rd. Beautiful views and no one will know you’re here. Plenty of room for at least 3 rigs, but will need high clearance to get to this particular spot. There are a few other spots up above this one that can be reached easier. 2 bars ATT LTE; 2 bars T-Mobile 5G

BLM Beauty 35.71913, -107.09298

Very quiet place. We were the only ones there... Has 30 AMP power hook up, flush toilets, and showers. While not the Ritz, the washroom was pretty clean for what it is- didn't even have much in the way of bugs, which was surprising. Very close to a school for kids to go to the playground, and another park just down the street. The village is very quaint and quiet. Nice place to relax.

We have taken our ram promaster here numerous times. First was for an engine swap along with changing the radiator, which came out to $1000. We bought the engine elsewhere. They did a great job and were finished when they said they would be.

Not possible to stay overnight anymore due to the many really poisonous snakes in the area and an incident with a tourist (as we were told). Stay at the tourist center Ygazu park instead.
