Something not right?

Description

County owned boat launch with 10 or so camping sites, all free with 14 day maximum stay. Very quiet, but can get busy on weekends in the summer. There are more campsites past the boat trailer parking lot, but those have more mosquitoes (almost all of them are on the river, though).

Latest Check-Ins

Very nice place to hang out and fish, or stay for a few nights. Many sites past the boat launch. Four dropped off 5th wheels with no vehicles around, just taking up space that others might want to use. Either occupy your site, and stay in your rig or move it somewhere else. Be considerate, don’t be the selfish human that you appear to be to others.

Nice campground with river access, fire rings, picnic tables, outhouses and a playground. Covered picnic tables in one spot. A few spots were taken by campers who parked their trailers ahead of the long weekend, thereby hogging them and keeping anyone else from using those spots, even though they were absent.

A couple others were noisy. There is a special place in hell for people who leave their generators running while they are out in the boat all day. And a place right beside for those that leave their dogs at the campsite to bark all the while they are in the boat.

Got here after driving away from a DNR campsite couple of miles east of this place where they required a car permit $35 and camp fee $20 to camp… this place is FREE and is better than the other one. Several parked RVs. Not sure if they are parked waiting for the weekend or just using the spot as a base camp. The site is right by the river bordering Canada. Some border patrol comes and goes. Pot toilets are clean. Fire rings and camping tables. Can’t beat the price!

Cool place for the night. Was really crowded (we took the last spot). Some people just park and leave their RVs/trailers for the upcoming weekend. Don't do that. Don't be those people.
Pit toilets, fire rings and grills, picnic tables. Sadly we were not fortunate and our neighbors had like 2000 kids were loud throughout the night. Unleashed dogs. Still a nice place.
