place closed. Row of cement blocks blocking the entrance. I went to sleep in my rooftop tent about a month ago and it was open with a couple of campers. Now it's closed

Report Check-InJ’y suis encore retourné hier…
Report Check-InUn des seuls endroits tranquille et sans problème en périphérie de Montréal….;
J’AI L’ DWOUA ! 🙄
Lâchez pas les chums!

Update to our Oct 10th comment. We were kicked out by the land owner company. The site is part of a 15 year development project. They permit people to park for the use of the bike path and fishing in the river and what not during the day out of courtesy. They do not allow overnight stays. Period. We were instructed to leave immediately (politely).
Note: We were there in our 27' Airstream travel trailer and unhitched and visited the city during the day. We were about to drive away without the trailer and visit the city for the 3rd day when he walked up and told us we had to leave immediately. In other words, we were not discreet. 3 or 4 others in cars and campervans were there overnight as well, but didn't seem to get kicked out. You may be able to get away with it, especially if you come late and leave early. But officially, it is not allowed. But their enforcement is limited. I asked the man if there were any signs prohibiting overnight parking. He responded by asking if I saw any signs that allowed overnight parking.
Report Check-InBig rig friendly, we have over 70’ of motorhome plus trailer and have had no problem. We stayed a few times before this and once almost got parked in though so be mindful about how/where you pull in if you have a really large set up. Besides the parking lot there is a huge grassy area which we have stayed in when it’s dry weather. We’ve seen busses here everytime we’ve been as well.
Note three new pieces of info since previous posts.
1. Huge potholes on your way in and in the actual lot. See photo I posted of the entrance.
2. The nearby building is currently being demolished. See photos. Didn’t get to find out what the plan is for the property.
3. The police station that was mentioned in another post is no longer there.
We have stayed here several times and love the view in the morning and evening especially! The city lights at night are lovely and we’ve watched a few thunderstorms from here too! Beautiful light shows!
Every time we have been here there have definitely been some weird activities happening in this lot. First time we stayed a couple years ago witnessed some illegal looking deals happening late at night involving highend black cars and open trunks. But they seem to happen all day as well - it’s like grand central station the comings and goings in and out of this parking lot. Usually with a single male driver. But lots of RVs and nice boondockers as well so it’s a really interesting stay! We have never felt unsafe strange as that may sound. The police come by occasionally and don’t bother RVs.
Close to the bike path which take you almost anywhere! We love it for that. Be sure to go to the second overpass to cross using the circular bike overpass into Longueuil and have breakfast/brunch at Peche Matinel - you’ll wait in line especially if there are more than 2 of you. Most of the tables seat 2 people along a kind of skinny corridor so they can’t put tables together.
We love this spot and use it as a base camp to visit Montreal and the surrounding areas.
Report Check-InParking lot next to highway, a bit noisy. Evening view of City lights on St Lawrence River are beautiful. Bike path right by the river, very nice. Lots of RV stay.
Report Check-InNice spot. No service, only the holy peace!
Pets allowed. Great view on the St.Lawrence, J.Cartier bridge and the town.
place is closed with line and stones in wintertime, other places around a Private, every place is noisy
Report Check-InStrange that it show « close » .. there is no sign , 4 vehicles was there last night
Please keep this place clean
Report Check-InGreat tip given by this app. Big parking lot behind the police station and in front of the bike trail. We spend the night here and everything went fine. Seems very safe.
Report Check-InPerfect place, feels like your in the country surrounded by green space and the Saint Lawrence.police car rolled by and flashed a light in our direction then just kepted going.
Report Check-InDoesn't look like much when you first arrive but it's a great view of Montreal and a pretty quiet night. No problems with safety.
Report Check-InGreat place to spend the night on a quiet part of town. View of the bridge and river is wonderful from bed.
Report Check-InA massive muddy gravel lot, but surprisingly scenic, and you can get the semblance of privacy just by being very far away from other parked vehicles. If you don't want to hear amusement park riders try the north end.
Report Check-Innous y sommes restés deux nuits;
Nuit.
It's a parking lot and there were several other rvs there. Suitable for one night sleep.
Report Check-InLarge area to park in view to La Ronde Amusement park.
Loud from the highway but okay to sleep in a RV. Police station nearby.
