Great and chilled hostel in Kumasi, owned by two Dutch young ladies.
Camping 8$ per person, dorms and rooms available (prices online). Breakfast (very good one!) included, free WiFi, dorm shower and toilet available for campers.
You can buy clothing made by local women who learn how to sow on the same premises since the owners run a women's empowerment NGO. Beautiful clothes for very good prices! Also option to get personal items made of your choice.
Definitely one of our favourite places in Ghana!
If you want to join for dinner add your name on the board. It cost 55Cedi for the meat option and 45 vegetarian. They cook vegetarian, always fresh and fresh snacks available!
Highly recommend!!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
A safe parking is part of the hostel area, so we felt very fine staying here with our truck, we just had to lift some low hanging cables when entering. It’s a really nice spot to relax for a few days. There’s laundry service ( one load is 40), free drinking water, Wi-Fi, very clean shower and toilet, restaurant serving good food. 70pp isn’t cheap for camping, but the breakfast comes with home made bread, fresh juice and real coffee.
Report Check-Incamping is now 70cds pp including a very good breakfast (eggs'muffin, banana pancakes. homemade bread...). don't know if you can negociate the price without the breakfast.
the hostel itself is really cool, but if you sleep in the car you will stay on the parking lot with no shade, and not hidden from the road. suboptimal...
however the staff is very friendly and they make very good icecoffee!
if you need to exchange currency, ask the owner, she has a contact with good rates
Camping is possible with a tent but the Car has to stay in front of the office and we weren't hired from the street. No intimity at all. But the place is great. Food very good and only women working, friendly; clean, beautiful shop.
Report Check-InSuuuper lovely hostel which also “empowers” local women. Great accommodation, great food, so much useful information, lots of books, good opportunity to network with other travellers, they sell clothing and items made by local women, they hire local women... we were so excited to find this place.
