Very quiet, FREE, lovely spot. About a minute walk down to the water which was absolutely beautiful! There are about 5-7 sites with fire pits. We showed up here on a Friday night in the middle of August and there were only two other campers. The road in is paved, not bad to ride on at all. If you walk down the hill about two minutes there are vault toilets and trash bins. No showers, water, or dump. There is a sign posted saying you can camp up to 16 days. Cell service is spotty with Verizon.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Unless you’re going to/from Canada, then this is not a spot you should stop at. Sure, there’s a nice view, but your rig is in a gravel lot that generally has no shade. No thanks. There are so many better places to camp in Montana.
Report Check-InAmazing place. This was a beautiful site with water access via a boat launch and beach cove. We stayed here 3 nights into labor day weekend and had the place to ourselves 2 of them. Plenty of space to spread out, can fit large campers and trailers easily. The water was a beautiful blue with views of Canada across the lake. Definitely one of our favorite spots! Cell signal was spotty, as our phones kept bouncing between Canadian and US towers, so watch out for international roaming.
