Pakistan
Guesthouse with camping site. We put our tent under apple and apricot trees and we ended up stay 4 days: this place is quiet, you can have a glimpse of the traditional life and houses in Hunza valley. Very friendly owner and family, they opened the guesthouse one month ago, the rooms are not cheap, but they are very happy to welcome foreigners and overlanders, we paid 500 rp per night (but the owner told us to give whatever amount we think is fair).
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
This is more like any other hotel around, 4 young guys hanging around.
We were offered to camp but the generator is just next to the place you can camp and power cuts are often here. So we took to room started at 5000 but got it for 3500.
Fried rice with chicken was okay.
The place is fine but not as welcoming as described below.
Report Check-InVery nice place. We were allowed to camp under the fruit trees and because the apricots were ready, we were allowed to eat as many as we wanted. we had wifi, a shared bathroom with a squat toilet and a bucket shower. perfect for us after just arriving in Sost that evening. also the owner helped us to get some money because all the ATMs rejected our card. we paid 1500 rupees for two people with one tent, which was fair enough for us.
even though we didn't stay in the rooms, they looked amazing and had an incredible view of the mountains.
Amazing hotel and campground in Sost. We stayed here for a couple of nights after the China transit. Owners are very friendly and helpful, and even invited us to a wedding party in the village.
Report Check-InWe stayed here 3 days. The structure is new, very nice and clean with a beautiful garden. There is a small parking lot where you can stay up to 3 camper not too big and a garden where you can mount the tent. For these two options the price is € 4 per night including bathroom and wifi. Instead if you want a room costs € 15 but they are very nice with spectacular views of the mountains. The Owner is very helpful, he took us to see a wedding and accompanied us to fill our cans of clean water. There is also a laundry service but it's a bit expensive.
Report Check-Inprobably one of the best guesthouses/hotel in Pakistan. you can park your van there, pinch your tent under apple tree's or you can get a room ( they build a new house, when I was there it was opened since 1week) payd for one night 5000 pr with breakfast, the room was absolutely stunning, like a luxus resort. Best bed I've ever had, balcony and a good shower. right now no hot water, because its still in progress.
van parking or tent was 1500 rp
They have opened another building with very fancy rooms. 5000 for a double room, we paid 1500 for a tent in the garden. The apples are free. The guy from the hotel is very nice, speaks perfect English and even took us to a wedding in the village to get to know their culture better.
