Very nice and quiet place. Open the gate, come through, close the gate, find your spot. Be careful not to drive over protected plants (there is a sign at the entrance). We are in our minivan and had no trouble navigating the sandy terrain.

Since camped here late March last year seems like more of area has restricted vehicle markers due to an endangered plant. The map link on Google is accurate. Road a little rough but should be passable for most. The photos are nearly from the end of the road, but there are some good spots on the way so maybe best to drive to end then choose. Verizon Visible was poor to none but AT&T good. Overall pretty spectacular, a favorite!

OPEN, NOT CLOSED

Currently easily accessible with medium clearance 2wd.

Stay on the road, don’t crush the rare little cactus. Keep it clean, pick up after others. This is an incredible gem of a spot.

No shade and windy, but great views of Colorado River and quiet.

Sign on gate says day use only, no camping.

Well marked area even while driving in the dark. It has rocks lining the road up to the end and then it doesn’t have a barrier in the last camping area, so don’t drive off. :). Looking forward to views in the morning!!

Fantastic views at this place. We arrived early afternoon got all set up, chairs outside ready to sit and enjoy a beer when the wind picked up and we almost lost our chairs into the canyon. The wind was extremely strong and wasn’t going away so we ended up leaving to look for a sheltered campsite.
