Camping and overnight parking areno longer allowed at this location. We talked to the lady at the visitor center. she said that the lot is owned by the city and they recently put up the signs. She said that the authorities have been waking people up at night and asking them to leave. But she also said that rigs have been staying in the vacant lot adjacent to the east of this lot.

A floresta é linda, cheia de histórias ❤️

Dormimos algumas noites aqui, super tranquilo. Tinha vários viajantes dormindo por aqui também. Tem um pouco de mosquitos. No visitor center tem chuveiro e internet. E em um posto de combustível próximo tem água.

The forest is beautiful, full of stories ❤️

We slept a few nights here, super quiet. There were several travelers sleeping around here too. There are a few mosquitoes. In the visitor center there is a shower and internet. And at a nearby gas station there's water.

Bathroom and showers at visitors center/rec center open until 8 in summer. Otherwise, easy place to stay for the night, although there's no shade and there was a stray dog wandering around and barking at things.

We were looking for a place to stay for a quick visit and reprovisioning. We asked at the visitor center. This spot is privately owned and they could not give permission. However, they see RVs parked overnight regularly without issues. We stayed and had a good, quiet night. Close to everything in town. Good ATT/Bell and Verizon cell signals.

No signs for overnight parking. we stayed several nights at downtown rv and saw no one overnighting here. It’s a large area.We moved to behind sign forest, between a vacant hotel complex to plan next destination.
If your not large drive around town you’ll find lots of pull off areas especially near lake wye on the east side. Had view of water and lake access. Great walking trail to around it.
