Nice long pull out next to Swan River with lovely views of the river and hillside. Can back up towards a small wood for more privacy. On the main road but quiet at night.

We ended up on Crane Mountain, Mission Divide Road in Bigfork, MT with the coordinates provided. We boondocked off snowmobile trailhead with no cell service instead.
Report Check-InPretty view of the river but basically right on the main road. I think had we been on a week night it might have been fine but since it was Satueday night, the cars never seemed to quiet down. Felt a little vulnerable even though we tucked ourselves back into the wooded area. Had no issues though and woke up to a wicked sunrise! Used the coordinates that one of the previous comments shared and found it easily. Saw a deer!
Report Check-Intried to park here but there are no overnight parking signs all over the place
Report Check-InThe GPS coordinates kept taking me to the opposite side of the road where there was no access. I finally found a pull off on the river side of the road. Those GPS coordinates are: 48.060657, -114.05038. Location seems safe, no one bothered me, there was one other van overnighting here. Road noise died down after 11 PM, however it seems the thing to do here is lay on your horn when you see someone parked off the side of the road. That happened four or five times throughout the night, can’t say I slept well.
There was a road leading down to South Shore Access Recreation Area but I didn’t park down there because the sign said the park closes at dusk. When I walked down in the morning there was someone overnighting there in a van though. There’s a hiking trailhead down there, along with areas to fish before the dam. I would not park alongside the road again, too noisy, and although the lower area looked much nicer I still don’t know about parking there when the park closes at dusk.
Took first pull in down to smaller lot with bathrooms. Camped overnight. No problems. You can get over the fence and go for a stroll down the little river way there. Leave it cleaner than you found it. 😁
Report Check-InWe were coming from Helena on our way to Glacier National Park. The GPS pointed to the right, but the place is a little road to the left of the highway. We got there around 10 pm and left around 8 am, slept well and had no issues with the noise
Report Check-InStrong 4G LTE with tower in sight. Another pull out about .5 mile east as well.
Report Check-InNice view with a swim! There’s a hiking trail that follows the river, it starts at the dam.
Report Check-InOk for a night. Road noise obviously. Good Verizon and AT&A speeds. No one bothered me.
Report Check-InWe stayed here last night and it was fine, no problems. When you turn off the road there's an area to the right which we felt was too overlooked by the mainroad, so we turned left and stuck ourselves in a little layby on the way down to the pumphouse parking lot. You can hear the traffic but it quietens down at night, and was otherwise very quiet.
Report Check-Ina nice place near to the dam 10 meters.
you can swim before the dam, nice sunset, it is close to the highway but the sound of
the water don't let you hear it
