This place is a quiet, scenic, lovely riverside space, with lots of places to choose to park / set up either beside the road or anywhere on the rocks. There is no longer a porta-potty or a water spiggot here, however flat and easy access for any size rig. Still $5 p/n, pack in / pack out.

Our favorite spot in Washington. $5 a night, great att service. Cold refreshing river front sites. 10 out of 10!

Report Check-In

Beautiful riverside spots! Highly recommend. 4 bar lte w Verizon.

Report Check-In

Easy to find absolutely beautiful. Several others here a few in 5th wheels and some camper. We set up our Rooftop and enjoyed the views and weather.

What is not to love about this place? Friendly owners. Quiet sites next to a river. Perfect!. you pay at the entrance. Drive straight down. Don't turn into the brown house on the left like I did. Find a site and walk back to the entrance. Fill out envelope in white mailbox with plate #, Date and vehicle description. seal envelope and drop in the box!

Loved this spot, our two large rigs fit no problem and we decided to stay extra days because of how nice the location was. Just as described in description.

My favorite spot in the PNW. Peaceful (until the generator people come.) $5/day.

Spent the last 3 months here building out my van. Great spot. Supplies 20min. North. Clean. No previes ...it self contained or cat holes. Water is cold, but awesome .

Report Check-In

Wow! What a spot for $5 a night. It’s clean, beautiful river view, and quiet. You can see every star at night and hear the river moving. Best place I’ve stayed so far.

Any vehicle could make it. Well maintained. Just don’t drive in black sand unless you have 4x4. Mostly smooth river rock though.

Full cell service!

Report Check-In

Had a great spot right next to the sand. Was surprised on the size of some of the motor homes that fit down there. Very clean and well maintained.

Report Check-In

Described just as everyone said. But, the last two postings mention portalets, there are none here, maybe it was a special event or something. anyhoo, dry camping only.

Report Check-In

Really good spot to stay. Don’t expect to get a river spot, people seem to spread out pretty extensively too. Porta Potties were sparking clean and there was a hand washing station. Really nice.

Report Check-In

owners charge people $5 a night to stay right along the river bank, beautiful site. just be clean and respectful

Report Check-In

Confirming what everyone else said. This would be a good deal at twice the price (don’t tell them that!) Had a pleasant 4-night riverside stay for $20. Can’t beat that! It’s a bit busier on the weekends but still plenty quiet. Will definitely stay here again if I get back this way.

Report Check-In

Beautiful location right on the water. A $5 fee left in mailbox by road for usage but worth much more than that!

Report Check-In

A paisagem é lindo e super tranquilo.

Great place to camp and spend several days, it's a private property, the gate is open and you pay in an envelope, it's $ 5 per day per vehicle. The place is well maintained, to make bonfires, have plenty of room for cars of all sizes and had to tent. The place is beautiful and very quiet.

Report Check-In

A good exchange for $5 cash. Peaceful, scenic and convenient. Loved it!

Report Check-In

This is a horrible place. Don’t ever come here so that I can keep coming back and have it all to myself. It’s that awesome! You’re right on the Hoh river but it’s super cold. $5 with cell service? Can’t beat it. Stayed here 2 days this time, last month I stayed 3 days. Love this place and will return. Stay on the rocks and away from the black sand. I got stuck a little last time.

Report Check-In

Amazing! $5 is actually a fee/toll for the road to get here. (land owned by a trust, according to local.) Definitely a MUST come. LTE (Verizon & gFi). No need for 4x4, but would recommend med/high clearance. No services. No previes here ...come self contained. River nice to swim in as of writing (mid-August.) Very friendly place. Will be some nightly noise. Will come again.

Report Check-In

Legitimately one of the best camp sites you could ask for! ON the banks of the river, wildly cheap at $5 recommended donation, and tons of other great folks around to share a beer at a fire with (but not during fire season). No toilets but great service. Highly recommend.

Report Check-In

What a find! Stayed right on the river with our 31' rig. The sounds of the river were hypnotic. Two bald eagles soared around the right and perched in the trees across the river for most of the afternoon.

This is also unlevel ground with river rocks - nothing but river rocks. We destroyed a leveling pad or two but were able to navigate without jarring our kidneys loose. Low-clearance vehicles beware - some rocks are large and immovable.

superb place ever for our long haul! beautiful

super beautiful lots of people tho. $5 to park overnight to use a private road. right on river big rigs ok full bars on Verizon n t-mobile dog approved!

Report Check-In

This place is awesome! We found it last year, and stayed 8 days, then came back again this year. It’s quiet and most people are pretty respectful. You can park just feet from the river and it’s super clear water.

Report Check-In

Wow, this is an amazing spot. $5 and you basically get your own little spot by the lake. No toilet, but there’s enough private woods around if needed. AT&T 4 bars and LTE. I sleep in my car which was fine, but I think tenting here would be tough since it’s mostly meant for RVs. Overall though, an awesome place!

Report Check-In

This place is great! You will not be disappointed.

Report Check-In

Great place for 5 dollars per night. We parked our 30’ TT right next to the Hoh River. Please clean up after yourselves so the owners do not close it! Stayed 4 nights.

Report Check-In

Great spot by the river for only $5. Will stay here again.
Verizon reception: full bars

Wow! It's hard to sum up how amazing this place was. There is a very kind gentleman named Allen who allows camping along the river of his property for a very small fee of $5 per day per vehicle. All you have to do is write down your vehicle make, dates you are staying, and pay cash. You can then drive down to the river and pick out a spot! There aren't any designated spots, but don't block people in.

This is dry camping with the nearest water at Bogachiel State Park. We stayed for about a week and didn't have any trouble finding a spot. It wasn't super busy, but there were a few cars coming and going each day. It was quiet and all we could hear was the rush of the river at night. You could see almost every star in the sky at night.

There was no issue getting our 42' 5th wheel down here. There were several class A's and buses too. It's rocky, so you will have to drive slow. Don't get too close to the water as it gets softer. We posted up next to a fire pit and got some wood from a place up the road (towards Forks) that accepted Venmo.

We went up to Minnie Petersen campground and put our kayaks in to float the river. It took a couple hours to float down to camp, but you will need to pay attention as there are some decent rapids and logs to navigate through. If you are less experienced and want an easy float, then you can put in at Hoh Oxbow campground and take a 20 minute float. The hardest rapid was just before the Hoh Oxbow campground.

We will definitely be back as this is a prime location to get to the beaches and hiking around the park. Please, please, please pick up after yourselves and pay the fee! Don't ruin this for everyone as Allen is an amazing person for doing this!

great spot right on the hoh river. $5 to drive through the owners private property.

Report Check-In

Great place beautiful only $5 for real!! Right beside the river only about 4 campers while we were there will come here again

Report Check-In

Great gravel parking area on the river. Been here four nights only had a few others camping/parking a couple nights. Quite a few fishermen in and out as it’s supposedly a great river for steelhead and salmon. Very quiet and peaceful.

Report Check-In

It’s a 5$ campground. A private place by the river. It’s so quiet and calm. One of the better place we’ve been so far.
