As of this date Hite is completely closed and blocked off at Hwy 95.

To get for the road was closed. The sign and said do not enter.

I felt 100% safe grabbing potable water from here. You can tell the area is still maintained by the national park service. The campground has turned into Ranger residences – it is not completely abandoned. Considering how many people came by to utilize the potable water, I am sure that it is tested.

Gasstation was closed but you can dump and fill up your tank for free, doesn‘t belong to the gasstation.
There is a rubber hose for fresh water, so you can‘t connect another hose
