20265 Hwy 20, Coupeville- established campground amongst tall, wooded park. 15 first come, first served sites, $15/night with a 7 day max per 30 days. Pit toilets, fire rings and picnic tables. Close to humane society so dog barking is often heard. Open April 1-October 31. Trick/tip: there are 2 campsites at the pay station that are park in the lot and put your stuff in the site, which you can back up to. It’s Saturday night and one of those is still open. Also a parking spot if you drive straight from the pay station to the locked gate and make a hard left, can likely park and put a tent up there although it isn’t an official spot.

The pit toilets were all locked, and the porta potties were in pretty rough shape. Our campsite was pretty thrashed when we arrived, and someone had dumped about 10 cans of cat food and a huge pile. Tons of wasps all over camp, and a fair amount of visible drug use. I'm not sure if we just picked a bad weekend or something, but we will likely stay elsewhere on the island in the future.
Report Check-InGreat for us as we are more spontaneous people who don’t have reservations. Love the FCFS CG, arrived on a late Saturday afternoon and got a site between flowering rhododendrons. Quite nice and the price is right toi ($15). Quiet at night and sweet trails for a stroll.
Report Check-InAwesome campsite very clean portopotty decent enough that you can use comfortably. Had a fire nice picnic table we enjoyed. No dogs barking at the animal shelter but there was a dog barking from one of the campers
Report Check-InThe campground is as described, a wonderful quiet place to camp. Max 7 day stay, self-pay $15/night. The bathrooms (pit toilets) are still boarded up but there are portable toilets in the central parking area.
