We loved it here. The house is large, with great views of the mangroves. The balcony is a wonderful place for your morning coffee or sundowner. The house pretty much has everything you could need and Greg and Gwen are lovely. It’s a great choice in the area!

Must stay!!! We were incredibly exhausted after moving too fast for a few months, and decided to stop by this lodge. The place is fantastic with big kitchen and living room, beautiful balcony with the ocean in the horizon and palm trees in front of you, three bedrooms (with mosquito net and fan) and two bathrooms. Hot functional shower, microwave, big fridge, braai, and all those small luxuries. Even better there's house keeping doing your dishes, cleaning and making the beds. The owners Greg and Gwen will bend over backwards to make sure you are enjoying your stay. They have a diveshop as well, and you'll get 10% off if you are staying in their lodge.

Outside holiday season it's 900 mets pppn, totally worth it! Diving prices are are way better than in Tofo. We stayed 8 nights and were sad to leave!

We absolutely agree with what has been said about this place and would like to stress the helpfulness, friendliness, warmth and professionalism of the owners Greg and Gwen. If you do have a chance to come here, stay here or dive with them, definitely do so. You won't find a better option in Barra/Tofo.

Fantastic self catering accommodation near Barra beach and a short drive from Tofo beach (about 15 mins). Cost is 225 rand pppn (min. 2 people).

The house is incredible! Very spacious with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 living room, a kitchen and a balcony - it can sleep 8 people comfortably. The balcony looks over the estuary which is where the sun sets! The kitchen has everything you’d need and there’s an electric braai on the balcony. They have 24-hour security guards where the car is parked. We bought fresh seafood from a guy who brought his morning catches to our door! Greg and Gwen (the owners) are SO genuinely friendly and welcoming - always giving us tips of things to see and do in the area, local places to eat etc. to avoid the tourist traps. We also went scuba diving with their diving company Aquaholics which is just around the corner and they gave us 10% discount cause we were staying with them. They can organise all kinds of activities in the area or point you in the direction of someone that can. Highly recommended! The place is about 500m before the tarmac ends and is on the right side (there’s a sign saying “palm view lodge”). If they’re not there then check Aquaholics a little further down the road (also on ioverlander). I’d call or WhatsApp before you come just to ensure availability (if you can).
