Nice campground right in town of Salmo.
$20. Garbage bins, picnic tables, potable water, playground, showers, nice trees. Good Verizon cell coverage.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Still $20. We went to the Town Office to pay by debit (credit for 3% charge) because we were leaving our rig to go golfing and did not want to miss the host. The host came by later and we just showed our receipt, no issues. Get the shower code, not sure if the town office has it.
Farmer's Market on Thursday 4-6, adds a bit of traffic through the campground.
Overall, quiet night.
Good Google Fi service, streamable
All great , price for stay $20 Grocery store open 7 days, good selection of food
Report Check-InAs described by others, but no one came to collect our money. We didn't use any of the facilities so can't comment on any of them. Quiet night in the pouring rain.
Report Check-Ingreat little community campground $15 and $1/6min very hot shower, not adjustable. Close to river, grocery, brewery and great food at Salmo hotel pub.
Report Check-InReally nice quiet spot. $15, washrooms have a code for after they are locked for the night. Longest loonie shower ever. Asked a local fellow if there was anywhere to buy firewood and he offered to deliver us some. Brought a box over for $10. There’s a microbrewery tasting room just a 5 minute walk away.
Report Check-InSmall municipal park in Salmo. Looks to be about 5 sites with picnic tables and fire rings. Set amongst mature cedars. Good cell reception, brew pub three blocks away, grocery store, etc. There are public toilets but they were locked when we were there. It costs $15/night.
Report Check-InStill open, including the nice clean unheated washrooms. We didn't try the coin/token operated showers.
Good wifi at the library and at the Dragonfly Cafe. The latter also has good coffee and fresh baking. Both are an easy walk from the campground. Everything in Salmo is an easy walk from the campground.
Two other campers for company. We had a quiet and restful night.
CBC at 740.

Report Check-InSmall campground on edge of town. Caretaker arrived around 6pm to collect $15. Gave us code to use showers and toilets after hours (did not use so cannot provide feedback). Showers are $1 for an 8-minute shower. Looks to be quiet with no bright lights around. Most sites are in the wooded area. We parked away from the trees to get max sun for our solar panel.
Report Check-In$15/night. Cash only to the caretaker, no cheque. If you need to pay with card you can at the town office - open Mon to Fri 8.30-4.30. The caretaker wasn't happy that we missed office hours on day 1 and didn't have cash, but did let us pay the next morning in the end. Potable water available at a couple of taps scattered around. Showers cost $1 - don't know how long the dollar lasts, didn't use them.
Report Check-InArrived late at night. A lovely lady came to collect $15 for the night and give us a code for the toilets. There were local kids hanging out at the park late at night, but It’s a nice and quiet place in the mornings
