Campground in the middle of nowhere on the Liard Highway, next to Liard River.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
First the positive; The young man who checked me in, Clayton, was very friendly.
Now the rest; After midnight (quiet time starts at 1030p) campers were having a full-on party (from two camp spots) with loud music and screaming kids. Both are using loud generators to boot. And of course, when confronted, they were asshats. There are only 5 campspots occupied tonight, but these people have to ruin it. There is no host here, so I am sure this happens a lot, especially since it's still not dark at midnight. THIS is why I do not stay at campgrounds. Why pay just to listen to other's crappy music and unruly kids all night?? I sure hope the showers are worth 23.50CAN because the stay definitely isn't. Also, there are far too many mosquitos, even with a ton of spray, hundreds attack you the second you get out of your rig. It's not worth it, I will not stay again. Now to try and squeeze in a couple of hours of sleep, shower (showers open at 8a), and be on our way. I wanted to explore this area, but I want nothing to do with it now.
Report Check-InAnother fine territorial campground - great place to overnight or longer stay.
Report Check-InThis Territorial Park Campground is on the banks of Liard River. About 40 sites, well maintained, but none directly at the river. 23Can$ per vehicle, shower and firewood included. Other than most other campgrounds it does not close mid September but mid October (because it is a hunters favorite place).
