Parking for the Hoodoos Trail. Very touristic with ice cream trucks. A very nice hike with beautiful view . We asked to park overnight and they said it is ok. 2$ fee for the parking during day hours.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
I don’t know there are many marked places for only one spot here… but there is a huge parking at the entrance of Hoodoo trail. One asphalt small for cars and ice-cream customers and one sand bigger. We slept on the sand, behind hills so you are hidden from the road. Very quiet. Not too far from pit toilet and garbage.
Parking is free, no issue at night. It’s more loudly at the morning because a lot of tourists but nothing disturbing.
We were alone, contrary to the spot at the end of the road, maybe more hidden but more famous !
When i go to a spot i love to see the place where I will sleep, not photo of attraction or beautiful landscape, so I added photo of parking for people like me.
parked on the furthest end from the toilets/shops and had absolutely no issue. restful sleep, barely any road noise. perfect to wake up and hit the trails to the top!
Report Check-InMerveilleux site. Toilettes sur place MAIS, éviter de stationner devant les deux commerces et les toilettes. Nous nous sommes fait demander par la GRC de nous déplacer le matin car ce site n’est pas autorisé de stationner de nuit. Mais, la police est tolérante.
Report Check-InWe parked here for one night with our Van at the parking lot and there were no "no overnight signs". Two other bigger RVs stayed also overnight. in the morning a Peace Officer came because somebody complained that it is not ok to camp here. One RV camped very close in front of the pit toilets, so we assume that the cleaning company which arrived in the mornings were not happy about that.
Report Check-InFantastic place. Safe. We hiked the hoodoo trail twice. Kids loved it. No problem. 5 toilets.
Report Check-InVery very nice spot if you keep going a little bit after the parking of the hoodoos. It’s kind of private (some ppl came by the morning but it’s no issue since it’s a touristic spot) and you can hear coyotes in the night… awesome spot would park here again
Report Check-InNoticed this location has been marked however I thought I would elaborate! We stayed one night and a full day in the "overflow" lot without any disturbance. VERY, Very little to NO trash on the ground so PLEASE if you overnight, do not leave garbage and human waste behind! There are THREE portable toilets on site that were hands down the cleanest I've ever seen at our time of use, aswell as garbage bins and a dumpster. NO EXCUSE to leave a mess!
Cars coming and going in the main lot throughout the evening/day but VERY minimal traffic for being a tourist stop. ( May.17 )
Throughout the night you'll hear the occasional " Thud-thud " of the near by bridge or truck roll by, but rather quiet. Would recommend if trying to stay away from camp sites. No " No Camping " signs are listed.
Report Check-InNo signs at hoodoo viewpoint parking lot that you can’t overnight park but continue down the “no exit” road just past like 200m. And you’ll find a few flat spots where the hoodoos jut inward and make for very private spot and great exploration! Spent one night here and all evening/morning exploring the badlands behind! No one bothered me and the highway is visible but very quiet. I’d park here again!
Report Check-Instayed in the lot. not the worst spots. Toonie Tuesday @ Aquaplex for a cheap shower / hot steam room
Report Check-InNice spot for 1 night... big RV on mate arrival
Un front if the hoodoo... WoW
Large RV campground. Close to the site of the hoodoos. Grass sites, all services. We paid $40./ day, included water, and power. (Minimum 3 day stay).
Report Check-InQuiet at night, some noise from the occasional passing truck. No charge for parking, no toilets and no ice cream shop open.
Report Check-InWe stayed for one night, nice view of the sky. They are two other camper cars. But no bathrooms no ice cream trucks or any venders and the “Hydration Station” trailer container seemed to be closed for the season.
Report Check-InVery cool spot.
They had bathrooms and ice cream trucks.
Didn’t have to pay for parking. We parked on the side of the roads.
