Now $15 to camp on what was Public Lands. More government overreach. Go 4 miles north to Klondike Bluffs state trust land and camp for free assuming you have a toilet. Just wait until you can't even drive back on this road without paying....

Spent a few days here. Spotty Verizon signal. Porta-potties and dumpster. Great views.

Report Check-In

This is a red dirt bumpy road with primitive campsites. Our 4x4 sprinter van didn't have any issues. $15/ night to camp, pay online on Utah State Park website or scan QR code on sign when turning onto the road.

Report Check-In

Drive up Dalton Wells Rd to the sign with a QR code to pay $15 to camp at any site with a stone fire ring. There is a dumpster to lose your trash. Probably 6-8 spots before it gets to rock that you will need 4x4 to traverse which I was able to do in my factory Silverado 2500HD. After that portion there are many more choice spots than just on flatland. Better views as well. I’ve seen ppl complain about $15 but c’mon…skip your frappa-latte or whatever. This place is sick! Killer sunset/sunrise! PS: cows wandering about the sites so watch your step!

Now converted to Utahraptor State Park, $15 per vehicle.

THIS IS NOT A FREE SPOT. Since 2021 there is a 15$ fee per day for this BLM since there are pit toilets and a big garbage disposal. Pay online or at box 0,3 miles from entrance.

Report Check-In

Many spots to choose. 15$ fee per night.

Report Check-In

Great place to camp. We spent a week. Decent cell coverage. Maintained porta-potties if required. NOTE- a $15 fee starting 25 May 22. Signs posted.

Report Check-In

This area is becoming a paid camping area starting May 15, 2022 due to becoming a state park.

Starting May 15th 2022 it will be $15 a night

Great spot to spend the night! We arrived around midnight and found a shoulder to park. Both lots to the right and left from the main BLM road were full. It wasn’t until the morning that we saw a no camp sign where we were at. We could have parked right next to another car but wanted to give others space. We left around 4 am. Everything was fairly flat and leveled. We had minimal T-mobile service. It’s fairly quiet with the occasional in and out traffic.

Report Check-In

Awesome BLM camping. The spots are on solid rock which is helpful in the winter season where you don’t have to step into mud every time you walk out your camper. Toilets are clean and are frequently maintained by BLM service. I got two to three bars using Visible LTE. Can see the snow capped LaSals. A well known spot so there is a good deal of traffic and campers but well spaced.

Report Check-In

Good spot, felt safe being in a large lot with 6 other vans. Stayed here vs. driving further in to take advantage of the cell service (not great but it works). Porta potty on the access road to this spot

Report Check-In

Cell service for tmobile and visible near the front. The further back on the road you go we lost service. Great spot. Very busy but fun to meet a lot of people

Report Check-In

Busy spot within close proximity to Arches and Moab. Free for all, spots not clearly marked. Quiet and good cell service.

Report Check-In

OK for a night, when there wasn't much wind. Tons of vehicles going in and out well after dark. Portable toilets in a couple of spots. Just ok overall, but the convenience of the location is hard to beat.

Report Check-In

Crazy overused site, cars and ATVs coming and going all the time, some generators running all night. Try to avoid the long-term campers, they are really loud.
Ground is often layers of rock and it's kind of difficult to find a place for a tent. Probably easier for Vans and cars.
Not my favorite site.

Awesome views, we ended up at this exact spot, a couple long term residents and vans / rvs coming and going all night from other spots, there were about 8 rigs here when we left but very comfortable. This is a meca of overnighters off this road - least a couple hundred. Super close to the park

Report Check-In

If you want to place with Highwind, dust, motor bikes and ATV’s riding at high speeds at all hours of the day this is the place for you.

Report Check-In

fairly busy but we were able to find a spot around 4pm, but lots of people were going in and out later so assume it filled up before dark. beautiful location & good service, but not a lot of privacy and people were loud.

Stayed a night after visiting Arches. Great view of Arches and La Sal from here. Plenty of space. Would stay again.

Report Check-In

A nice, safe place to sleep, near the highway but minimal noise. Nothing to block the wind storm last night, but also no trees to fall on me.

Report Check-In

Open now. Free. Gravel road. Need 4x4 or high clearance for some spots but we haven't this and go find easy a good spot. Fire rigs but fire forbidden now. Flat spaces. Big. Camp in designated areas. Good view. No amenities. Hot.

Open again after Covid closures mentioned below.

Go past the first right, those areas are extremely rocky. Follow to these exact coordinates for a dirt area versus slabs of rock.

Report Check-In

This area is not BLM but SLTD (State Land Trust Department). This area is temporarily closed due to “Health Concerns”. Every campsite was coned off to preveny use.

Report Check-In

This spot is not a BLM spot. It is managed by the Utah state. We wanted to go to this spot however it was closed. A note explains that the healthy department of the state and the county closed it to
camping for prevention.

Report Check-In

Here by myself tonight in late December, one other rig in the first spot closer to the highway. Snowy, quiet, and peaceful, no wind. I consider this to be a great off season spot, as you can be alone out in the snow, but if you get stuck or run into trouble, the road is fairly close to get a tow or seek help.

Report Check-In

This must be the most overused dirt road in Utah. Expect to share your spot with multiple vehicles who unabashedly invite themselves in; 4-5 rigs were at this spot.

I made two stops here, early and late November. Lots of dust in early November but lots of wet ruts in late November.

During my late November visit I hastily evacuated at 2am on my second night on account of the ridiculous wind, which blew continuously and intensified in the middle of the second night. I should add that nowhere on Willow Springs road is sheltered except for a few spots on the main campground loop about 1.75 mi from the highway, however the loop is high clearance and not accessible to my Transit. (On my first night I tried driving further down Willow Springs Rd. looking for shelter to no avail).

I tried moving to Moab to avoid the wind but it seems inescapable. Multiple days of these wind gusts is intolerable, do yourself a favor and check the forecast. Else you can expect to be rocked in a noisy and violent cradle while your poor vehicle creaks and howls in protest.

BLM SPOT. Moab. Space for about 6 rigs. Nice vista. Close to highway. Stayed 2 nights.

Report Check-In

Stayed 2 nights. There are many, many many pull-offs along this road with space for lots of vehicles. One night was incredibly windy. Nice views, conveniently located near Arches/Canyonlands. Not much privacy

Report Check-In

Big Space, close to Arches and Canyonlands NP. Lots of restaurants and showers in Moab. Area is big enough for a couple big rigs.

Report Check-In

a lot of very large spots. we stayed close from the road but apparently you can also go furter.
