Description
We were eastbound and were stopped here and asked "to register" and given a chit to hand in at the military checkpoint in 2km.
Before that one, in only 500m, there's a police checkpoint where they wanted to see our documents again. In both cases they asked for licence and TIP.
Then there was another in 18 km at San Bartolo; again we had to register but no chit to hand in elsewhere.
And yet another similar one at Ascension de la Frontera...
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
