Great spot that isn’t super crowded. Still $15 paid by envelope after hours. It is an amazing view of the mountain range, amazing sunset behind you, beautiful sunrise right in front of you. We are here in Labor Day weekend and there are still spots available unlike most other places completely full.

Stopped to check this place out, and ended up staying two nights. It was stormy in the evenings while I was here, so I didn’t get any star gazing in. The night is so dark, here. I walked the vortex garden a couple of times—so much to take in. It’s a very friendly place, and I recommend a visit. $5 to check it out, $15 to dry camp and enjoy the night sky.

$15 a night. porta potties. really cool spot to camp. the STARS and the milky way are visible at this location. bring a neck pillow cause all you will be doing is looking up at night. Candence was super nice & helpful.

15$ camping per night for all types of vehicle. about 18 sites. flat sites on a windy open plain in rangeland with mountain views. no shade. no hookups. porta potties. self checkin after hours with envelopes. says it is open 24/7/365. may need cash, not clear if there are other options. gift shop, ufo watching platform, energy vortex "garden". near to sand dunes hot springs swimming pool in hooper. this is a kitschy place for travelers and a serious stop for ufo enthusiasts. the san luis valley is known for its extensive paranomal activity.
