Something not right?

Description

Good 4g signal, not recommended for big rigs but fine in our E150. Can get right next to lake and drive all way round for about 500m. Can swim in lake, may be cows, goats around. We had a really peaceful night. Some stray dogs around but friendly.

We choose a spot a little bit futher on this road that was quite leveled. Pretty quiet except for a few barking dogs. The dogs were very friendly and went with us when we took our bicycles. The trail doesn’t go very far and it was a rough one. We saw some cars going that way (to the second spot on IOverlander) so it is doable without 4x4. We continue by foot on the shore of the lake. We saw 2 others spot in the woods that were not on IOverlander. One car was park over there. In the day, few people came to enjoy the scenery and kids were playing soccer. Very peaceful. The aquatic plants are moving on the lake covering it and uncovering it.

Good wild camping spot, a bunch of trash laying around, but seems to be safe.
Got there on Saturday and there were multiple parties blasting music til late at night so pack earplugs

Very nice spot for a few nights. Had no issues getting here in our tall (11.5foot) truck camper. Lots of friendly dogs in the area and very quiet. You cannot swim in the lake anymore, its full of green plants and signs are posted.

We stayed here for two nights and it was a very quiet spot. The road was very easy for us in our 11.5 foot tall truck camper. Lots of friendly dogs in the area. Nice breeze at night.

The place is full of trash (and dried water plants). We didn’t stay.

Great spot! It was relatively quiet and had a beautiful view of the Lake. We stayed about a km or so passed this location. As someone else noted, there was litter among the trees. But that's kind of how Mexico is.

There were families here for the weekend/holiday, but everyone was gone by 9. In the morning (around 8 or so) some boats went by on the lake, but we didn't hear them, just saw them. And a car passed by a little later, which we did hear.

This place almost foots the bill for a sweet wild campsite. Unfortunately, the trees are insanely littered. we met some friendly locals, who invited us to stay at their place if we had any problems here. we declined. The cute children tried to convince further, saying sometimes people come at night to fight and cause a scandal. That plus a couple stare downs earlier led to somewhat of a restless night that was 100% in our heads. Packed on a Sunday but everyone cleared out around sundown.

We stayed here for several nights while we explored San Miguel de Allende and Comonfort during the day. It's a very short drive to both of those beautiful towns and the nights we had on the shore of this lake were muy tranquillo.

Just as described. We drove further down around the lake. Found a flat area with a view of the city lights. Quiet, birdwatching, and free!

Good 4g signal, first part of the track is the worst for 100 m, not recommend for big rigs but fine in our E150. Can get right next to lake and drive all way round for about 500m. Can swim in lake, may be cows, goats around. We had a really peaceful night. Some stray dogs around but friendly.
