We went to check out the Municipal Campground, but they were closed for the season in early November. But this quiet gravel lot in front of the campground worked just fine, and Free. Very quiet at night except for some birds. The mirador is very close to here, just go thru the municpal camping - there is an unlocked gate to the right of the vehical gate. Locals parked here during the day and went in this same way, even though the campground is officially closed.

It looks like an old abandoned municipal campsite with many gazebos, each with water, many showers and toilets. We spent a quiet night here; there was no one there except us.

Report Check-InBe carefull, very dangerous. Local indians together with policeman is a mafia. We was stolen, our car window was broken.
Report Check-InLe camping était fermé et comme nous sommes arrivé de nuit, nous avons juste déplié la tente de toit sur le parking en face. Il n'y a aucune commodité, l'endroit n'est pas très accueillant et les chiens font un bruit pas possible. Néanmoins, ça suffit pour passer une nuit, histoire de faire les Saltos del Lara. Si le gardien est la, on peut passer par le camping, c'est plus direct.
Report Check-InQuiet night and not too cold in early May. Very few passers by at this time of year. We tried a few formal places but all closed for off season or wanted 4000 PP just to park with no facilities.
Report Check-InGood spot for an overnight. Level ground that fits big rigs and right beside the waterfall (2 min walk). Shops and restaurants within 2 min walk also.
