Something not right?

Description

This wasn't exactly on the co-ordinates or I mis-read but in any case it was close....the co-ords told me it was across the street but obviusly the water side of the highway is what you want.
Area is a little dirty and the water is shallow so no fishing.
The day we arrived it was foggy and raining, as you can see in the picture but it was very attractive and although quite open...very private.
We enjoyed out stay here.
Just a note that further along the shore, as seen in the picture, there is a sandy beach which might allo0w swimming when it's warm.
Lots of room for several big RV's

Latest Check-Ins

Had a quiet night with a class B along with a pick up truck. Sceptic toilet, picnic table. Lot of paved spot with a view on Nipigon river.

Report Check-In

Flat paved parking between the lookout and the toilet.Gravel parking across the road for RVs. We are 25' so backed into a normal space in the paved section. No problems. RV lot is darker (no overhead lights) and shaded in the afternoon at this time of year. Also slightly further from the train. No trains between 10pm-6am as far as I can tell.

Nice spot. Also nice walks around town, check the sign near the lookout.

Good Google Fi service, streamable.

Nice quiet place. Pit toilet. Stayed one night, nice lookout

Report Check-In

Nice flat parking. Quite a bit of spaces for class B. Quit during the night apart that the train woke up us at 6am !

I recommend this place for a night stay.

Grand stationnement, plat. belle vue. toilette sèche et table à pique-nique très pratiques. quelques trains pendant la nuit mais sinon c'est tranquille. en plus l essence est pas cher (25 cents de moins) juste à côté (Helen indian reserve).

nice place. we will come back.

This place is in wrong location - it is located at 49.01728, -88.25729

Nice little spot. parking lot for RV’s is to the right (gravel) and other cars/vans is to the left (paved). Nothing super special but it should do for the night.

Report Check-In

Nice flat area with pit toilets and beautiful views. Bit off the highway so not too noisy.

Report Check-In

Paved parking lot with area for big rigs to pull in as well. Public toilets open 24 hours. Nice view as well!

Report Check-In

Just a decent sized parking lot with a cool lookout. There’s a washroom and space for RVs and trailers. Right off the road.

Report Check-In

Second time staying here. it is a paved parking lot so not sure about those other photos.

Report Check-In

Arrived after dark, light snow on ground but parking area is clear. Brightly lit so happy to have heavy shades on our trailer windows. Easy to find as it is well signed from Highway 17. Good views in the morning before we left.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

We stayed here for one night, the bathroom was still open and a beautiful look out. As mentioned above there is a place for bigger rigs across the road (gravel pull off). Since we are in a sprinter van we opted to stay in the Lookout parking lot itself.

A good spot to camp - no issues - close to stores. Local came to chat. Others stayed over night.
