Description
The town is called Caviahue. It is surrounded by natural attractions. The hidden lagoon, the jump of the sour, the volcano Copahue, the hidden waterfall, the ski center, among others are some of the walks that can be done. Many of them can be made alone, it is easy and the views are beautiful. There are also more complicated ones, like climbing to the crater of the volcano that can be done with the people of Norambuena, a highly recommended agency. We came in October and there was a lot of snow, the landscapes were amazing, and where you look you have a waterfall or a lagoon. BEAUTIFUL PLACE!
El pueblo se llama Caviahue. Esta rodeado de atractivos naturales. La laguna escondida, el salto del agrio, el volcan Copahue, la cascada escondida, el centro de ski, entre otros son algunos de los paseos que se pueden hacer. Muchos de ellos se pueden hacer solo, es facil y las vistas son hermosas. Tambien hay otros mas complicados, como subir al crater del volcan que se pueden hacer con la gente de Norambuena, una agencia muy recomendable. Vinimos en octubre y habia mucha nieve, los paisajes eran alucinantes, y por donde mires te aparece una cascada o una laguna. HERMOSO LUGAR!

Amazing place to visit. More then worthwhile the detour and climbing on our bikes!
Important for campers is to know that the water from the lake and Rio Agrio is not drinkable. It is acidic from the volcano.
There is a potable watertap at the Tourist Information (Right at the start of the village when you are coming from Loncopué)
Report Check-InVery picturesque provincial park of Copahue with hot springs, active volcano and some waterfalls. Rio Agrio with orange rocks in the riverbed (contains iron) and blue and turquoise water is a lovely sight. Free entrance.
