Argentina
There's a little park with tall trees next to the YPF gas station that belongs to the municipality. The tourist information guy told us we could park here for the night. There are a couple of old bbq stations and working water faucets. Very clean toilets and Internet available at the gas station right next to it. Free.
Tip: we had one night of rain here which caused the road south to be blocked, and lots of water crossings on the alternative route, so maybe worth getting info on road conditions before heading out. the small amount of rain causes some paths to be blocked because the wet land is like clay.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
As descripted. Quite night. The water tap is on a tree, central position, in a low position (50cm).
Report Check-InWe sleept here one night. It was quite.
But the „park“ is an old area with trash. The barbecue pits are damaged. No saw water spigots, only at the Gas Station but didnt ask witch water quality. The bathrooms (only Toilets) are clean with TP .
Wifi is not the fastest but ok for messaging.
The stuff super friendly. Small Coffee shop with groceries.
you can park here below the trees, and wake up with the view of the red hills to the west.
Report Check-InNot the most quiet of places (traffic, people, dogs), but ok for a night. Barbecue places, shade, coffee shop at the gas station, clean toilets with paper. Friendly staff.
Report Check-InWe stayed one night in this place, we also have the same good comments!
Report Check-InWe stayed here just one night. Quiet spot next to YPF station. You have potable water and free WiFi from YPF. Recomended place
Funcionan bastante bien. Apto modo descarga Netflix ;)
Great stay - very quiet at night. Wi Fi at YPF was so slow I got nothing but the Visitor Center on other side of the park (opens 8:30 a.m.) was very fast.
Report Check-Indid not stay here but the internet vallecolorado still works fine and they accept VISA credit cards!
Report Check-InHello
Good place for a night on the ruta 40.
Water ok
Good wifi
Nice crew
You can stay under the tree if you are not realy high.
Big motorhome ok.
Noisy but you are in a gas station...
Confirm the last description from „Roca y Bicicletta“. It also has a hose which you can use for having a shower (warm water!) since the one at the YPF is out of order (or never was/ will be again?).
Report Check-InThere are barbecue spots and nice shade from trees, water points and not more trash than other campings I visited. Toilets from ypf are clean, and wifi works well. what expected more for free? It is not just a parking lot.
Report Check-InDo not expect more than a regular parking lot. Some trees gave us wind protection. Trash is everywhere. Toilets are closed for the night (since 12am), no shower in the gas station. Wi-Fi present, works.
Report Check-InWe stayed here two nights, because the internet was good. We found a power outlet that one can use, it's across from the YPF cafe close the the tarp parking area on one of the street lights. It only works when the light is on. The café's alright, comfortable and warm, as well as cheap Submarinos. They didn't bother us even though we hung out all day. Overall good place to stay.
Report Check-Ingood place for 1 night... next to the ypf, water, fireplaces, under the trees, toilet (maybe shower) available. good wifi VALLE COLORADO password vallecolorado
Report Check-InReally good place for the night. Few BBQ and water. You can access to the toilet and shower of the YPF station. And the must: WiFi! The password is the name of the WiFi (with no space).
Report Check-InInternet didn't work! Got. the password from the Hotel across the street but Signal did not reach us...free. We checked to municipal campground south of town but the baños were very dirty and the Music was terrible and loud. The owner said they would turn off the music at 8p.m. But we left and it was a but of a discussion to get the money back. We had to mention "policia" and then it worked okay. Usually 150$ but we negociated them down to 120. Pool looked nice but it was just too busy and noisy for our taste.
