15 beautiful campsites right on Muncho Lake, with a boat launch. No reservations - all first-come first-serve, $20.00 per night, no pull-through sites. (You pay if you see the Collector.) Some sites are reservable during peak summer season.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Supposed to be open until the 29th and listed as open at the Fort Nelson Visitor Centre but is closed. Don't rely on this spot late in the season as it looks like the same thing happened last year.
Report Check-InArrived before 12 noon but all sites are taken. The ranger asked me to pitch my tent at a grassy area near the entrance & boat launch. He said I still need to pay $20 but he didn't come n collect the money.
Report Check-InBeautiful small campsite with 15 spots. Five of them you can book online, the rest is first come, first serve.
Report Check-InAmazing spot to stay . Great scenery, beautiful lake ( cold ) , nice sites right up against the lake
Report Check-InFantastic provincial park.
We spent two nites camped along the lake as the ice on lake was receding.
Fantastic scenery, lake is cold
Gates are closed for the season. We were surprised as it was part of our plans, seems early for the year.
Report Check-InGorgeous shady sites. Mosquitos not too bad. Got the second to last empty spot at about 4pm.
Report Check-InSmall campground on the lake. 15 sites all first come. Just off the Alaska Hwy. no services or cell coverage. A pump for water and pit toilets. Generators allowed during certain hours. Back in sites. We got here about 2:00 pm and there were 3 open sites. Within 15 minutes all sites were filled.
Report Check-InUn endroit magique pour dormir sans bruit au son des vagues du lacs. Un paysage à couper le souffle!
Report Check-InA very beautiful place. All spacious sites are directly at the beautiful, clear Muncho lake, have privacy, picknick table, firepits on the ground and access to the water. Several very clean pit toilets (with toilet paper) are placed opposit along the sites. CAD$20 a night - wich is well worth it. The caretaker comes along late evening to collect the fee. Very recommended.
