Insurance are sold on Kazakh side. Not mandatory in Kirghizstan so you need to go to the nearest town for this.

KG->KZ same as mentioned before, not busy, just a bit slow. It took us around 3 hours on a Monday afternoon. Very friendly officers. Zero questions about our dog.
Report Check-In우리는 카자흐스탄에서 키르기스스탄으로 가기 위해 국경에 와 있는데 1시간 동안 단 한대의 차도 움직이지 않고 있습니다. 소문대로 카자흐스탄 측 일처리는 slow slow입니다.차도 그렇게 많지 않은데ᆢ 이런것은 개선 좀 안하나?
Report Check-InKazakhstan > Kyrgyzstan. Very slow border crossing on the Kazakh side. Not busy but just slow. Ans mayhem, just utter chaos. There is one lane going to the gate but you get passed left and right and have no clue what is happening. Kazakh side took 3 hours with multiple car checks. Kyrgyz side took just 15 minutes.
