Report Check-In

it is open for public (at least around noon, maybe later blocked for tours) 5000$ pp including ojos de salar

Report Check-In

The laguna is still closed at the moment.

Report Check-In

Closed for unknown reasons (not covid) for year already. Entrance blocked at Laguna Cejar and guarded.

Interresting Laguna in terms of information. Nice to see too but in general we were very disappointed of all the attractive in Atacama... especially the lagunas. The roads (paso de jama y sico) are absolutely breathtaking but the rest do not really worth it. Laguna Baltinache and Xhana were closed too (weird in January) for 2 weeks.

Water in October. Don’t bother if you come in dry season. Mostly nice road with a few rough patches and washboard. Same prices as below.

Report Check-In

Still 2000$Chl per adult and 1000 per children. For us it is worth the price because the lake is a huge one, reflecting the mountains and volcanos, with some flamencos if you like to watch them. You can stay around 1-2 hours.
You can’t touch the water because here is one of the three only places in the world where some special microorganisms live (the most ancient form of life on Earth).
If you want to enjoy a maximum make sure to walk to the « Rivas Vivientes » part, at the other side of the lake, where almost no tourists go. You will hear the rocks speak...

Camping no more allowed, we asked and they denied... Aswell no swimming
but beautiful lagoon. road is mostly like paved!, packed dirt/salt road.

Beautiful views of the lagunas. Came here for lunch. 2000 pesos per person for entry.

Report Check-In

The best to visit 1 hour before sunset (but with the most of visitors too). Perfect reflection of mountains in the lake.

Report Check-In

also not allowed to swim anymore...

Parking place for lagoon. 2000$ entrance

I guess the people who wrote here before and said that lagoon is dry, went there during the dry season. We went in October and there were water. It's not for swimming, though, as it has the paths around. If there is no wind you can see a reflection of the mountains in the lagoon (we didn't see as it was windy and wind moved the water too much). The best is at the sunset. It seems that tour agencies bring people for the sunset here as there were a few mini busses full of people when we arrived. There was a sign at the entrance that it costs 2000 but no one came to charge us, so we just continued, parked in the parking lot, took some pictures, waited for the sun to set and left. Nothing crazy but ok.

Report Check-In

not worth the trip. bad road, dry lagoon and you have to pay 2000pp. not even a nice view. go somewhere else

Report Check-In
