Beautiful place across MacDonald Creek with great views of the surrounding mountains. Little shade, few biting bugs and no noise other than fast flowing water. Note that you will have to cross the creek to get here, but this river can swell quickly! (Signs warn that one may get stuck for days after the river flash floods.)
There are multiple spots on the river bank after the crossing. Or follow Churchill Mine Road for 20 km to get to the trailhead of a hike to the Hoodoos in Wokkpash valley. (There are a few sites before the crossing, too.)

Report Check-InWe were at the Summit Lake campground the night before - to help us remember why we prefer to camp wild. (No nightly noise and privacy, mainly.)
Crossing the river was no problem (for our Land Cruiser 100). Keep left and 'follow' the tracks of Churchill Mine Road (visible across the river). Don't base your decision on just the first crossing - the second one is deeper.
This was quiet and private - only one other camper across the river.
Report Check-InWe were lucky and had this place/wonderful view to ourselves. We have a van that wasn’t quite up for forging across the river, but we had a fantastic view and felt very isolated/far from the highway.
Report Check-InGreat Campsite at MacDonald Creek along Wokkpash Trail. Very quiet, nice view. Easy access on a good dirtroad to this place but you will need a sturdy 4x4 car to cross the creek.
Report Check-InGreat place. Stayed closer to the track due to high water level and soft river beds. Had to pull out two local trucks. Subject to flash flooding.
Report Check-InGreat wild camping at the McDonald Creek. There are many different spots on both sides of the river.
Report Check-InBeautiful place right on MacDonald Creek. Attention, river can swell quickly! No garbage or toilet. Here Creek crossing to SUPER Hike to the Hoodoos in Wokpash valley! Unfortunately, we had too much water to Rüber driving!
