Description

Dog travel papers can be obtained here but only between 8-11am and with lots of patience. There's likely a roll of little numbers and declaration form on the water dispenser. Get one of each. The two offices on the right are responsible. You'll need a health certificate from the vet and a copy of your passport, anti rabies and deparasitation + copy. Across the street in the municipality building, two floors down there's a little kiosk that makes copies for 2P. Need exact change. There's a Pago Facil two blocks away where you can pay the 314P fee with the Senasa receipt. Only street parking around. They don't want to see the dog btw. and once you finally get to talk to one of the leopard leggings wearing officials they're actually quite friendly and helpful. Two copies of the papers allow you to re-enter Argentina within a month. Suerte!

Now it costs 570 AR Pesos to have the papers immediatly. It was very fast, because I was the only person in that moment.I just could go further to the counter “salud animal“. The rapidpago is 1 1/2 blocks to the right and 1 block to the left within a small Kiosko named Liberia. The papers are valid for 60 days!

Was in the door at 11am, out by 12. There was a lovely English speaking woman there who made the process easy. First I went to a local Vet (Patagonia Veterinarian) which was $360p for a consultation, health certificate, front line and parasite treatment. a very very fair price I thought. I took the form to get a copy made at the kiosk across the street from Senasa, a copy of my passport and a copy of my rabies certificate. Bring all originals, copies and prior vaccines and it'll be painless. $550p for same certificate. $440p for 24h and $330p for 48 turnaround. Be sure you grab the GREEN numbers on top of the water cooler. I grabbed the red and waited for the wrong service. all in all, painless to be fair.

362,- if you wait about 2 days and 550,- if you want it the same day. You have to pay the fees in cash about a block away (Pago facil, easy to walk by as it's just a little "store"). The papers are good for entering Chile for 10 days and re-entering Argentina within a month. The lady put different names for the anti parasites on our papers and we wanted to have the names which are in our dogs pass but she couldn't do it as it's not in her computer. She said it doesn't matter as they only wanna see the Senasa paper anyways. Sounds crazy and money-making to me if it doesn't even matter what's on the paper. Especially when at all places no one even cares to see the dog just our paperwork.

We had more luck and were able to secure the certificate after 11 am.
