Something not right?

Description

Somewhat secluded, although there was some highway noise. No 4x4 required. Could not locate drinking water at camp, although the official FS site says there is water. Sizable area with plenty of room to spread out and tent camp or to pull in a small camper. No power or hookups. One relatively clean pit toilet available as well as a single trash bin. Posted sign says "Campground open to campers only 10pm-7am," which is somewhat confusing, but I believe means if you're not camping, you have to leave by 10pm.

Latest Check-Ins

Toilet was clean. No other campers. Some road boost but not too noticeable to keep us up. Some mud but it was raining all day. Big ground was no problem

Report Check-In

As described, though the campground is currently clean and the toilet is decidedly not. Pretty little spot if you can stand the jarring traffic.

Report Check-In

Chose not to stay here for the night because it's hunting season and it was pretty crowded with hunters. There are some dispersed spots as you pull down the road from the hunt camp but they were not cleaned up well at all.

Report Check-In

Surprised that there was only one tent and noone else this close to the 4th. Easy to find.

Report Check-In

Even with some traffic noise this was a great spot in the National Forest & close to a few trailheads too!

Report Check-In

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Just me and my 3 dogs. This informal camp site has many many options for using the space. 3 other travel trailer were there but never saw the people from 2 of them. Vault style toilet and only "1" trash can. The camp sites further into the woods and away from the road reflect the lack of trashcans. Looks like a few of the camp sites had makeshift camp fires rings. The camp site closest to the road might flood if the rain gets heavy.
NO CELL SERVICE in and around camp sites.

Report Check-In

Lots of road noise, the trucks go quiet at night but start up again very early. Otherwise a decent stop.
